Dude if you think teams play an open game vs. Barca then you haven't been watching football for the past 5 years. When Barca punishes a team 5-0 one week, don't you think the opponent next week is going to try a defensive formation? They do! But this season Barcelona have been able to unlock them for the most part. Today Getafe succeeded in holding on for a tie. We hit the crossbar twice, sh!t happens.

Barcelona play the best possession football on the planet. No team in their right mind goes all out attack on Barcelona. We all saw how the CL winning Manchester United team tried to cope with Barca's football.

um no i saw the goals in those 6-0 games and the defense gave you way too much room.

yea you are the best at holding possession but what does it matter when you cant create chances. getafe had as many chances as you had today.



the ultimate prize for teams is to beat the champions, real madrid. no one cares about beating barca. the real union coach cried after his side went through over us.

for my money Barca lacked the creativity they have been showing in the passed 5-6 games. teams have played as defensive as Getafe did against us but not as phyiscaly but regardless we didn't mix up our play enough and just lacked creativity around their 18 yard box. We definitely could have used Messi and Iniesta. I figured out by watching this game that its not necessarily the fact that we need Messi on the field just for his abilities but because he makes everyone else on the field step up there game. Its like when Ronaldinho was it his prime with us, of course he was key and amazing but the rest of the team would feed off his energy and play just as impressively.

Look, we sold Ronaldinho & Deco in one summer, give Barca some credit for keeping up the great football!

Also, regarding your whole Xavi theory...Xavi was out for 6 months with a knee ligament injury in the season we won La Liga and the CL.
