The commentator on gol tv kept calling hom the prince of persia, does any one know that commentators name ?

His name is Nino Torres, and he is a gem. Makes every game exciting. He is a huge Mehdi fan, and calls him a smart tactictian and the "best penalty seller in the league". He even said today that he was really happy when Mehdi scored 2 goals against England in the WC.

Hmm here is my theories..,

can it possibly be the same award, but just the english name of it? 🤔

Or Maybe the league sponsor has one award and then the newspaper has one identical but they call it MoM instead of MVP

Or MoM is for one game, and then they have MVP award for a period of time, lets say one per month that they award and sometimes the MoM of the game Also was the MVP of the month so he received both after the game

Just guessing though I have no idea 😁😅

I didn't see this in the match, but apparently Mehdi got a yellow card for being off the field in the final minutes of the match (probably milking the clock).

The Portuguese refs have Mehdi marked. They just don't call penalties in his favor any more.

I saw this in the match and thought it should have been a PK. Now this still image confirms it. How is a GK leading knee-first into the striker in the box not a PK? Yet Mehdi is a diver? GTFOH.
