I hope something happens, but given Mehdi's profile (age, nationality, etc.), it's natural that if something were to happen, it'll happen later in the transfer window when clubs run out of high-profile options and look at cheaper alternatives.

If Kane (who's only one year younger than Mehdi) is worth $100M+, Mehdi at $15M is an absolute steal.

Mehdi needs to move. Porto seems to have financial problems meaning that they will look to their youth teams or the Portuguese league to replace Otávio - which will be very hard to do.

Staying at porto would be the real career suicide, not warming the bench at a top club (which I still doubt happens to him but even in that situation, it is better than what will happen at porto this season)
