Aghasi was one of the few bright spots in this game….I was very excited all game by his performance he knew when to take risks and when to be conservative which as a defender is crucial. He did however seem a step or two out of place in the second goal for Algeria and part of conceding that goal was on him….outside that moment though he was very impressive IMO. Hope he continues to get called up

Majid Hosseini and Morteza Pouraliganji should start (if Morteza is back in top form). I like Shoja but he worries me. He's very aggressive and in dangerous places where he can get carded off. I'm really hoping that Pouraliganji makes a good comeback. He has to be in the World Cup squad if he gets back into form. Skocic would be foolish to leave Morteza out if he's doing well at Persepolis.

from this video, i saw he has ok first touch, and actualy drove the ball up the field and delivered a good pass on the opponents half. we rearely se that from a cb. kanaani has some realy good passes, but the lucio run forward i havnt noticed for a while from any TM cb.
he had ok speed but not great speed, ok body strenght. pretty fast first meters, and good att putting tight press when opponents have the ball. something we will need at wc.

I agree with you from this match. He was hungry to perform his best. That was the biggest thing that impressed me. But we don't know how he can cope versus a more physically aggressive front-line. I think he'll do well against Asian opponents, but not sure if he'll make the list. If Skocic is going to call him up again he should start him in one of the friendly matches we play and see how he does when he's more exposed.

I'm not sure how he'll do in Team Melli or that if he'll even be called up again. Because it's a World Cup year we may not see him back in the national team due to the lack of friendly matches we got. Maybe if he played 4 matches and against worthy opponents we would have a better idea on how he is as a centre-back. But we don't have time to test players, we need to prepare our team for the World Cup. But I was still impressed by his performance in the 45 minutes he was on.

He had a total of 12-14 touches. He made one bad pass. But given that it was his first Team Melli match he did well!

If that is his jurisdiction, then it's worth zilch.

There is a big difference between these two:

1. Wanting a coach to be replaced by a much better one to give your team a chance of doing well at the WC.

2. Wanting your team to fail because of the coach.

It's not OK to cheer against your national team. I hope you reconsider your opinion.

CQ would have never allowed players to intervene, thats the difference. He forced them to focus on the game. Skocic needs always someone to defend him.

Egg fucking zactly. You highlighted the difference between CQ and Skokic... CQ was a control freak who made unilateral decisions. In my opinion, he was not a pro the way he flipped off the Koreans, it was actually disgusting behavior.
I don't think Skokic is like that and it's a positive if true. However, I'd like to know what happened between our bench and the Lebanese bench when Azmoun scored and everyone went crazy. Because it was Azmoun who was telling ppl to calm down so they could get the game going again which led to our second goal. Was Skokic calming ppl down? Or was he an instigator? We need a touch tough who is shakh but also a pro. Someone who can kalle ba panbeh bebore!!

Nope. He made it clear in replies to my post he is not. This is the definition of a bandwagon fan. Support the team as long as they win and your in favour of the makeup of the team. When things get tough you bail.

Some of the anti skocic crowd are just loyal to a certain person and that is their entire TM...
