Hmm, what a weird series of posts from you. I don't know you, but I think you are just deflecting everything you're feeling onto me for some reason? You haven't asked me any questions, rather you decided to just make sweeping assumptions about how I felt regarding an isolated event, out of context to everything else. I clearly never put it in comparison to anything that was going on today, strangely you decided to do that and I am not sure why.

You never asked my opinion on anything, rather you decided to take my post out of context, add meanings that don't exist, and make something I said to seem much more than what it was. I was speaking purely in context of a soccer match and what it would've meant for me. Other members who also flew out to Vancouver shared the same feelings.

We all have a lot of pain right now, but I don't think making stories up about how people feel is the way forward.

Just that painful memory, especially in the context of recent events, probably made me think of wife and daughter burning painfully to death in a plane on fire, rather than having a few pals not seeing a match of football however unique that experience might be - we are all obsessed with football and team melli but I find it hard to imagine how anything can be a painful experience compared to what is going on in Iran every day....

I bought flight tickets to Vancouver that day and began the countdown, but it was all for nothing.

It would've been such a cool experience to be there with my friends to see Iran vs Canada. I grew up in Canada and my Canadian friends all know about the Iranian team through me (they know Ali Karimi, Ali Daei, Azmoun, etc) & Iranian culture (they love ghormehsabzi and have celebrated Iranian new year). Sadly given how this went, I doubt this opportunity will ever come up again.
