The only game he got right was the Wales game which was a must win game.

Does that tell us something ??
Not really. Holland was very defensive today and it works for them thanks to their players playing in Inter and Barcelona.

Wales isn't a good team, most of their squad play in championship and they are slow and lethargic which is perfect for us

CQ barely got the Wales game right. That was one game luck was our side with the Wales GK getting a red. Without that we would’ve tied 0-0. We had definite scoring opportunities which we can give credit to CQ with the correct line up and formation, but that was one game luck was also on our side.

Fitness being one of our weaknesses, why did he reuse the same lineup? Ramin ran an insane amount, why didn’t he change him out for Kanaani? Deciding between Beiro and Hosseini for the third match, definitely a difficult decision for CQ and staff, but one can wonder if they should’ve kept Hosseini in the goal for the US game.

He is such a one dimensional coach and was fully exposed in this tournament.

His insistence on playing the wrong lineup and have the team sit back and defend really screwed us from finally making history.

We literally played a “tactic” that played RIGHT into the US’s strength lol it made no sense.

I feel like every member has the same questions

Ramin was exhausted, why didn’t Sadegh start or have Sadegh RB, Ramin RM

Our midfield was gassed, why not start a rested Amiri (even tho I hate him) over Ahmad?

Mohammadi was trash for years, we went though 3 LBs only for the LAST one to be good… Jalali couldn’t have started?

Azmoun was injured why was he not rested and used as a sub, ans have Ghoddos supporting Taremi…

list goes on, it just doesn’t make sense.

Is anyone considering going to Qatar for the asian cup this summer ?

You go for the win, and end up with the tie. Aim for the tie and you'll lose just like we did. Fellow PFDC members would've come up with a better battle plan than CQ. It doesn't take much expertise to see we needed speed against US and instead of playing Amiri and Torabi he brings Karimi in as a sub…
I'm glad PFDC is starting to wake up. Been saying this about CQ stubbornness since 2018.

Taking us to the next level cq isnt the man for the job... maybe he is but with 1 year preparation however you cant deny and the reason why i stuck up for him is cuz he took us from jabbari and rahmati to a professional team that always played a full 90 mins

CQ's off the pitch contributions to our football certainly been immense and invaluable..!! you oghta give him full props for that..! he just is too much of a 1 dimensional, tactically limited and predictable football coach..!!

Aziz rest assured I’ve been pretty critical of CQ since 2018. After our AFC2019 knock out by Japan, I’ve been vocal about a change. I get it, Wilmots was a disaster, Skocic maybe wasn’t as experienced as a coach as we wanted, but going back to CQ just took us backward. Amazing some of the mental gymnastics TM fans go through to justify CQ. Even after a 3rd group exit, we still have people wanting CQ to stick around…

Amazing how Australia is playing. They are just laying on the pressure.
