No. We were pissed because he didn't demonstrate any tactical play in any of his games. Not even those we won.

That is amazing. No tactical play and we still tied SK. I assume with great tactical play, we can achieve better results than SK in WC???Originally posted by aariaa View PostNo. We were pissed because he didn't demonstrate any tactical play in any of his games. Not even those we won.

Shows East asia > West Asia.Originally posted by aariaa View PostKorea, Japan and Australia advances to R16
Qatar, Iran and Saudi are eliminated
I no longer want to hear the "we are Asias best team" bs
These teams are out there winning games that actually matter. Meanwhile we are bragging about winning against Lebanon, Syria, UAE and Iraq in the WCQ. Or that we played better than Japan for the first 15 minutes in the Mickey Mouse Asian Cup
West asia biggest shortcoming is the lack of export in Europe.
If Iran football ecosystem can admit we are not in a position to develop good players alone, then we would progress a lot. No need to even invest on academies, infrastructure, etc..

If he played for a win and lost, people would complain we should have secured a draw.Originally posted by Damavand View PostBravo Korea and their coaching staff !!
Further proof that CQs tactics are so out dated and his player selection is just as bad.
I still cannot believe he was going for a draw against the US.
If he put Azmoun on the bench, people would complain why he isn't starting.
If he changes the wales line up, people would have complained why he is changing a winning lineup.
We are not at US level, we have to admit it

The difference between these other asian teams and us is that, they go to these tournaments with the intention to get out of the group and we go hoping to get out of the group. Its all mental. Same reason why we have not been to the finals of an Asian cup since the BeeGees were on top of the billboards."History is a set of lies that people have agreed upon,"

I guess with your mentality all these teams should not have even bothered to go for the win.
If you play for a draw odds are highly in favor of you losing. Especially when your opponent is in a must win situation.
If you play for the win odds are highly in your favor to get a draw at least.
CQ screwed up. Clear and simple.

Managed to get a lucky draw thanks to a late goal from JB. Wilmots also tied SK in Azadi. By your logic, we would have advanced to R16 with Wilmots. CQ also never lost to SK. I really don't get your point.Originally posted by Farzadfarhangni View Post

No North Korea is 1/2 tries (50%)Originally posted by PersianLion80 View Post
Don't forget North Korea 1 time/1 try (100%) lol
They came in last place in their group in WC 2010.
Our Wc record is a joke, we will never progress if we dont solve our grassrot problems.
Vaghan heyfe, because we are a footballing nation whit a ton of raw talent and a huge population and love for football, but zero system.
We are skating whitout skates.

But we are doing great in other sports with the same infrastructure problems.
Volleyball
Futsal
Wrestling
Powerlifting
How come when it's about football, everything is because of infrastructure problems. I am not saying we don't have problems. But we have invested tons of more money in football than any other sport. Yet football is the one sport were we have the worst results.
I also doubt Morocco has a better league than us (do they even have a league?) or that they have invested more money in football than us. Yet they topped their group.
