      Clear penalty on Azmoun

Azmoun brilliantly helps start the attack from his own box by playing it over the top to a runner after controlling the ball. Then immediately runs toward the Bochum box. He gets played the ball through and the defender very clearly takes him out. Somehow no pen!! He might have been offside when receiving the ball but that was ridiculous.

There was definitely some contact, the defender cleared out Sardar's feet.

Azmoun with a brilliant pass to Bellarabi for the one on one but he misses! Should have had an assist.
"This is a totalitarian system whose presence people feel in their blood and in their flesh on a daily basis. And it’s one that does not grant freedoms of any kind, or accommodate people’s demands in any way. What is increasingly clear is that there is clear demand for change in the regime. What the people want is regime change, and no return to the past. There is a very real possibility of regime change." - Nasrin Sotoudeh

I'm annoyed. Our boy has a lot of talent. He should be as good as someone like Mitrovich but he has not found his stride. I don't know how he will get more minutes.

Great flick on right at the end for adli. GK saved 1v1 quite well.

Between that, the PK incident, and his setup for bellarabi (which replay showed wouldnt have been offside) it was solid 20 mins from him. Hold up play was decent overall. Game was quite disjointed when he came on, bochum committing a lot of fouls.

Alonso has the team playing better for sure.

Sardar looks super motivated, much more fit. First time I have seen him play with such intensity for Leverkusen this season.

He will have to be patient, prove his fitness, and earn coach's trust. But no reason for panicking yet.

Some leverkusen fans saying Azmoun sux. Don't know which game they watched

meh ... i dont think he did enough to make a case for more minutes
but when it comes to quick decision making and passes on the break and transition game he is still tip top quality..!
what i was looking to see from him is staying on the move CONSTANTLY thus making himself available for outlet passes into counter attacks and pressing aggressively from the top w/o fouling and on that front didnt see nearly enough to convince a cautious coach like Xabi trust him with more playing minutes..!!

He should have had a penalty and nearly had two assists in 20 minutes of football. His first competitive minutes since the World Cup when he was playing injured and then was out with injury before that.
Thought he did well - lots of disjointed play when he was on due to the amount of subs. Lots of long balls played up to him when he could do is flick it on. When the ball was played to feet he found a pass and links up well with those around him.

If coach has real plans for him and still gonna be there in 6 months, why not? It would be better than current situation…

Peter bosz was sacked by Lyon 3 months ago. Lyon is in a big mess currently
