We can bring on as many wingers as we want but it is no good unless we change the way we are playing . We have to get someone in the middle to keep hold of the ball and pass the balls to them in good positions. To be fair to ARJ and Gholi they are trying to get the ball through to the front two but the Koreans are defending well and by the time they get the ball due to slow build up the Koreans have got their players back and organised.

Iran I think played a very smart first half. Aside from that first shot by SK, the defense was right there. Iran also showed that it can attack when it wants to. All in all I am happy with the strategy. Keep in mind, we are in the driver seat. Even a draw is not a bad result for us. The criticism of Skocik is I think a bit ridiculous. I think Iran will score 2 goals in 2nd half and we will end up winning 2-0.

1- maybe skocic has instructed to play conservatively wit sporadic attacks. To soak korean attacks while defending & rely on counters.
yes. it may go wrong. But we know how to defend (from CQ's time). So maybe that's the strategy.

Allowing koreans to run more also means they may tire quicker by 2nd half.
and maybe injection of pace after min 75 we can exploit this.

A lot of times they play the it not just for the venue but also for the surrounding neighborhoods. It’s been a long time since the stadium was built, and there are a lot of stuff around the place.

This is an important game for both sides and it is obvious they are approaching it cautiously!

Korea is here not to lose, otherwise their position in the table will be very shaky as either UAE, Iraq or Lebanon can close in with a win today.

There are a few things in our team, that is preventing it from dominating the game;

1. Passing accuracy is low
2. big gap between our mid fielders and forwards
3. Sitting too much in our own half.
4. Ezat is doing good defensively, but he is slow and keeps playing to the width and back (some dangerously). He needs to venture forward a bit.
5. JB is our weakest link at the moment. He is not contributing defensively nor he is able to keep the ball up and create chances for Taremi and Sardar
6. Overall, the team needs to believe in itself and show stronger domination. Korea is not France or Italy.
Let's hope for a better second half.
