So you predict Dick will get axed in Iraq?!!! I agree.

Once he is properly circumcised, he can convert to Islam and get a proper name, may be Abdol-Dick.

Instead they kept him, only to not even play him in key matches since they are preparing for “life without him”.
Then why not just sell him 2 months ago?
So basically they lost out on 18 mil cash, he lost out on 1 year of his true prime, and zenit lost the chance to integrate a quality replacement. Nobody is happy and everybody loses, zenit management showing incredible foresight again and again
Zenith management think like Saudi club management. We don't care how much money we lost - we just want what we want.

Yup. Common thread? Money matters to neither with the support of the state.

        How un-Iranian!

Absolutely think he will with all the drama going on in the Iraqi team camp right now. The players seem to hate him and also have really bad blood with the federation…..seems a little similar to what’s starting to unfold with Taremi and the federation/Skocic rn.

LMFAO people actually think zenit cares about money??? lol they are like al hilal !

Vladimir Putin is a big fan of Zenit Fc. They are owned by a big russian gas company which is owned by government! They do not care about money! There has been numerous talks that zenit is being favoured by the government .

Heavy criticism from Russian Championat towards Sardar. Never seen such criticism during his years in Russia. And TBH, I agree with the most part of the article. Sardar seems very bored and unhappy, no motivation at all. It's so obvious that he want to move from Zenit/Russia

On the side note, they also mentioned that Sardar right after the game vs Juve, criticised the head coach and his tactical choice. Anyone seen/heard that?

Semak has about as much tactical knowledge as the French did when the Germans invaded their country.

Praying to Ahura Mazda himself that Azmoun makes the transfer

Zenit is an absolute crap show

Really hope Sardar moves to Lyon. Bosz is a great attacking minded coach who is a big fan of Azmoum, Olympique Lyon is a big club in France, he can potentially do great things in Ligue 1.

Actually I was speaking to couple of iraqi guys and it seems that they are blaming everything on their players. Specially Ali adnan! They think they should invite all their foreign based players in europe. Like sweden, denmark etc..

Their new player Amir Al-Ammari who plays in Allsvenskan league looks decent.

So as far as i understand their media is blaming their players first then their federation and the coach. So not too sure if they gonna kick him out at this stage.

Azmun is useless in the Champions League. With this attitude, he should forget about Germany.

And Semak hardly liked the words of the Iranian after the match with Juventus.

It is not without reason that Zenit clung to Serdar Azmun this summer. I think the club, if they wanted, could agree with Bayer and send hundreds of thousands of its subscribers to Germany along with the Iranian. And Azmun himself wanted to leave. But the club did not find an equivalent replacement, so the potential transfer was blocked and it was expected that Serdar would remain a pro. And it will help in the Champions League.

Three matches have passed. Do you remember the useful actions of Azmun? I have only one thing in my head: in the game against Chelsea, he took the ball on the flank and passed it to Dziuba, when Artyom missed and flew into Mendy. Otherwise, everything is lackluster: a bunch of mistakes in London, 14 minutes against Malmö and 30 minutes against Juventus. 0 goals and 0 assists is not the most impressive statistic for a player who is going to the top tier.

Yes, you can blame the problems on one unpleasant detail. Immediately after Chelsea, Serdar was diagnosed with muscle inflammation. Because of this, he missed the match against Rubin, but Semak said that he was counting on him in the match against Wings. The Iranian played against Samara only for the last 10 minutes, then remained in reserve with Malmo. And he appeared at the start with Sochi. In this meeting, Semak, for the first time in a long time, returned the 4-4-2 scheme, possibly specially for Azmun, but already at the end of the first half, the striker earned a removal. Zenit rebuilt, nevertheless lost.

It is interesting that then Azmun had two full games for the national team, and this shows that the guy's physical form is all right. And that means that in Zenit he is simply losing the competition to Dziuba.

“Artyom scores in the last matches, and Serdar fell out of rhythm, got injured, came on as a substitute, then there was a removal. He didn’t train much, and he also played for the national team. Therefore, Artyom came out at the start, and then Serdar replaced him - we expected that the Juventus defenders would get tired, so we threw Azmun into the fight in the second half, ”Semak explained the decision after Juventus.

All arguments are clear, except for one - the Iranian had a match for the national team eight days before the game in St. Petersburg. There is enough time to come back, train well, get into the rhythm and get out at the start. But this did not happen.

The Iranian’s decline is likely due to two reasons: the first is a new scheme. After switching to a game with one center forward, Azmun has never scored. The last time this happened was almost two months ago - on August 26. The second - perhaps the player got bored in St. Petersburg. Against Juventus, it seemed visually that the guy had very little desire to put pressure, take the ball, run forward. He got lost in his 30 minutes and did not create anything dangerous at the opponent's goal. And after the game he kicked the head coach.

“Tough game. Juventus is a big team, but we looked good. Hopefully we will win the next match. What was not enough to score? I don’t know, ask the coach. We did our best, but the opponent is a very serious team with good players, ”the striker reacted sharply.

It is unlikely that Semak smiled after reading this. Azmun urgently needs to solve all his game problems and flutter his tongue less. With such an attitude, at best, he will be re-signed the contract with Zenit next summer. And he will be able to follow the German championship only by cuts on YouTube.
