yeah, but still hope that he will play offensive position again soon, we cant have another offensive player being reschooled again and then thrwn away.. id like him to push for a loan (his old friend potter in bha?) sure he can help tm as defender but he has to good offensive qualities to play lwb.. like putting ibra as cb just cuz he wins all the headers..

great job attacking/distributing and Much Improved , lively and aggressive Defensive feature..!!

Brentford looked nearly destined for losing it again narrowly, probably late on ..? before Only a Canos injury afforded him a much deserved decent minutes off the bench ..!!
they looked so much more dangerous off the break after his intro into the game... and thankfully got the much deserved goal to nick full 3 points..!!

          So frustrating.
Keep in mind that even here he's seldomly used and today he came on for an injured player if I'm not mistaken.

It's also possible that he's been working on his defensive game and it's improving.

Still too early to come to a full conclusion I'd say but skocic will evaluate him when he trains with TM and he's obviously keeping an eye on his players performances so we'll see what happens.

Same Croat laboo salesman that singlehandedly saved one of Asia's "Top-4 Powerhouse" WC hopes and is on course to qualifying 1st in our group to WC!

Its not ideal but he is filling a tactical need there.

Playing ghoddos on that side gives them added composure, better decision making in possession to get out of pressure situations in wide areas (as we saw on the first goal), better instinct in and around the box (as we saw when he got the PK vs watford), and essentially gives them the creativity of another midfielder. His defending 1v1 has been generally very solid (see today on trezeguet, cash, other day on De bruyne), so if teams are not prepared for him stepping in there it works as a second half sub.

Long term obviously he is no lwb, if teams knew he was starting there the cyould very likely change tactical setup and just have a super physical, fast winger target ghoddos on that side. But if they are going for a goal and generally not being dominated the Saman to LWB gives them a decent advantage.

With Jensen seemingly injured, Onyeka out for a month, that leaves Baptiste, Janelt, Ghoddos fighting for the spots next to norsgard who is fix. Only one with ability to keep possession well and a creative mind in possession is ghoddos, so you would think frank would choose one of the other 2 for a balanced midfield, but we know he often prefers more donkey style there if possible

Very strong defensive performance by him I thought. Several clean tackles. One bad foul by the sideline is all that comes to mind.
Offensively, had good control in possession. Contributed nicely in opening space for the goal with his layee.

I’ve noticed in the AFC, unfortunately what are considered legitimate tackles and physical play by Europeans, are called as fouls.

This is particularly noticeable whenever JB or Ghodoos play.

Only game ref allowed physical play was versus South Korea.

Saman subbed in for some decent minutes (nearly the whole second half) and Brentford win 2-1. *cough* Frank *cough*

Looks like our boy played well when he came on from all the comments today. No surprise as he was the best player on the pitch when they played Villa earlier in the season. Didn’t get to watch the game , was at the Hawthorns watching a poor game of football. They really could do with a playmaker,a central striker and some new centre backs (even with Dike being signed).

Edit - just to add, I usually take what fans on Twitter say with a pinch of salt but there is a lot of fans on there calling for him to start and saying he was a game changer today and in previous games too. Being called a ‘luxury player who needs to be starting’.
