Just take the play on KDB as an example...Great IQ to read the dribble, strength to shrug him off, then composure to dribble around aggressive city press and release perfect (and highly difficult) ball into Canos path to start dangerous counter.

Nobody in current TM setup can do that play at this level. Ezatolahi isnt quick enough, amiri doesnt have the composure, nourollahi hasnt made such a pass in his life, etc.
We are getting so little out of this guy its really shameful.

I am not even suggesting that we bench some people adopted son nourollahi, but lets play to our players strengths.

Ghoddos is the only TM player, much more so than gholizadeh, ARJ (Who in his current state is a non factor) , etc that can actual change a game vs higher class opposition and LINK the defense to the dangerous forwards we have.

Using him properly takes the creative burden off Nour especially (who really no matter what the people here who try to sell him as next pirlo want us to believe, he just sucks at doing) and let him do what he is good at, run around like a maniac, press hard, occasional shots from distance, and 5 meter passes to more technically competent players. Also removes the creative burden on a 34 years old amiri, we cant expect him to be our only playmaker if we want to do something at WC.

Its time to trust the guy more than on half vs lebanon in terrible conditions when the entire team was garbage. Needs a consistent run in the side. Given gholizadeh inconsistency, ARJ being downright horrible of late, he can come in there and we can go to something more resembling 4222 of Ragnick's United rather than flat 442, with sadegh and milad our quickets fullbacks providing the width. This will leave us strong out of possession with amiri, nour, ezatolahi, but much more capable in possession with saman and amiri tasked with linking to forwards.

Then from bench guys like Gholi, Allahyar (who are much more effective when game is stretched and they have space) can come on to provide more speed and width.

It’s no coincidence that Ghoddos is having a similar fate as ARJ did with Brighton. Whether it’s bias due to nationality, marketing appeal, politics, or the fact that EPL coaches value players who run like a dog on the pitch moreso than a player’s technical abilities (unless you’re an elite player like Salah).

At the end of the day, the EPL is NOT for us. And it’s not because a player like Ghoddos is not “good enough” for the EPL.

That short scene of Ghoddos in the game, conveyed so many brilliant attributes at once, that it’s obvious how good of a player he really is. He needs to get more minutes at Brentford ASAP or GTFO, before the damage on his psyche accumulates, and turns into another ARJ post Brighton.

yea, unfortunately this may well be true...!! ? cause i remember reading on their chatline site, that after his noteworthy good performance vs Aston Villa earlier in the season, where he was commended by the announcers and most fans, they asked Frank about his performance and he had replied... meh, Samman had played just OK...!!? or something to that effect ..!
and off course he went back to benching him in the following league match ... proof that yea, unfortunately he just doesnt rate him ? or at a very least he finds saman ill suited to his preferred tactics or probably both...? cause he didnt play him much last year too when they were playing a more offensive tactics..!!
as others eluded, it sure looks like a same bs situation that happened to ARJ at Brighton is brewing for sammy in bretford and he would be wise to just ask for a loan and GTFO dodge as soon as possible ... hopefully this winter transfer window .... especially if he is planning to figure a bigger role for himself in TM in the run up to WC22..!!

Its becoming more and more evident that Frank just wants him to stay put as an Emergency depth chart player and has little intention to integrate him in his more regular playing 1st choice squad..!! (even if so slowly..!!)

If there is one person for sure Frank doesn't like it is Tariqe Fosu. You all think Frank is treating Saman badly, but he decimated Fosu from the squad.
