seems there will be changes at zenit. Arshavin to become sporting director, he was previously head of the academy. Ribalta set to leave. Under his guidance zenit brought in the likes of azmoun, rakitskiy, barrios, etc and took back domestic control (under previous regime they were 5th).

Arshavin said publicly earlier this year that he thinks its time for azmoun to go to europe.

I only saw the last ten mins but thought he looked sharp in what I saw. Some really good link up play and was unlucky not to score in that one-two with Dzyuba but couldn’t get enough power behind his shot.

I think the Zenit goal came from a pass or shot that was deflected by the Khimki defender into Karavaev pass which he scored from.

Just came off with a a few mins left. I watched the second half on and off, he had some decent chances but they were defended well. Zenit didn’t get out of second gear for the whole game so far.

To be fair it was a silly decision from the ref. He shot and was off balance so that’s why his arm was there , not an intentional handball at all but yes the reaction was over the top.

he looks to have been marked tighter than nun's asshole by khimki defenders .... still squeezed through and scored a legit goal which was waived off for some bs foul..!! almost scored in couple of other occasions too.... he really needs to top the scoring charts this year again in order to expand his potential transfer options this summer..!! how many goals is he off the pace now..??
