CP shoulda bagged one already at least from 1 of those CKs, i dont like their set-up though, too narrow and shifted to Left side where Zaha is and BHA most vulnerable i suppose..!! they should do what other successful sides do vs BHA suck brighton in and then hit them back on quick counters..!
lets hope arj gets some decent minutes off bench, so this wouldnt be total waste of my morning..! i dont see it happening unless theyre loosing

Games where they going to attack more than containing. This means Brighton isn't really suitable for AJ, since they will try to contain/defend/counter more than attack in this league. The reason AJ get's subbed in at 70+ minutes is because the formation and tactics change late game if Brighton has not scored yet. To me, AJ needs service to be able to give service and Brighton does not seem to be able to do just that.Originally posted by The Realist View PostYou are making a good point, but other teams have “Zahas”, so Zaha or no Zaha, if ARJ should not start against a team like CP, which team should he start against?.
Potters has set his mind that ARJ is a squad player and can only come in if someone is injured or the team is losing, that’s it in a nutshell.
Although, this said, it's really hard to predict how Potter is gonna play.
Me thinking this doesn't mean I think AJ is a bad player. The only reason I've watched what must be over 50-60 hours of Brighton games is because of him. It's just I don't think he is a good dribbler or defender, he is not that "well-rounded". He is essentially a wide striker that needs service.

Glenn Murray- one trick aliasgari hold up striker
March- run straight up the wing and miss open goals specialist
Knockaert- run up and tackle opponents and curse out your own teammates specialist
Brighton doesnt really have a history of "rounded players"

I'm not saying other players are rounded, this is about AJ. It really doesn't matter if the others are rounded or not. AJ is good offensively, but not good at defending.
My original post stated that they might want March over AJ in this game because they want someone who is better at defending. I'm not saying March is a god at scoring goals and assisting, nor that he is rounded.

He literally played RWB and LWB for half a season better than his teammates. Including playing RBW against a Spurs side that had Rose and Son on the wing.Originally posted by happydoggo View PostYeah?

If none of them are well rounded then Ali J shouldnt be behind in the pecking order.
Anyway 1-0 Crystal Palace, rivals of Brighton, ahead. Hopefully they dont sub him in now. DeservedLast edited by perspolis#1; 02-29-2020, 06:59 AM.
