I know it's still early in the window, but it's starting to become bulls*** that there are no concrete, reported offers for Sardar. It's so frustrating, our players deserve so much more than the market offers them due to political issues that are out of their control.

he had to strike while the iron is Hot .....right now, in midst of Transfer season, coming off golden boot win....!!
in about the only contentious match up until the CL groups kick off which is too late by then...!

his bit too high asking price and valuation was the last big stumbling block to likely offer and he had to be clutch today and help increase the Hype surrounding himself with outstanding performance and he simply didnt do anything to help that matter today...!!
i think even Zenit mgmt/coach knew that ....?? probably thats why he was kept on till late in this game, when he looked more to be the first guy to be yanked otherwise..!!
so Now.... either Zenit drops their asking price to a max 20-25 or likely he aint going anywhere this year....!?

In the current market 25 mil is a steal for clubs out there, he will be getting those offers as top quality strikers are at a premium at the moment and especially at The price he can be bought at.

with lyon advanding to 1/8 today, leipzig already booking their places there after smashing spurs, its fair to say zenit had a formidable CL group especially in hindsight.

This was same lyon that sardar cut thru like butter in france and zenit dispatched handsomly in russia.

These are the sort of performances that have made him a reputable CL level striker that deserves real respect. Denayer who couldnt deal with an injured sardar all night comfortably locked up higuain tonight.

He scored 2 by lokomotiv last supercup, 2 vs rostov in league, 2 vs krasnodar to clinch league, vs lyon where he was motm, vs benfica, vs fenerbahce 2x in crucial knockout game, vs villareal in crucial knockout game, had his best game of season vs spartak in cup semi final. Not to mention his rostov days scoring again ajax, anderlecht, bayern, atletico, prague, etc.

Today was not a defining or special match for him at all.

reality is sardar scores so much that every game he doesnt score/play well is such a rare occurence we freak out and say he played bad and this is why he wont transfer. Not everybody needs to have a 10/10 every game, especially in a game like this after 2 days of practice. There are forwards going for 30 million that dont have 1/2 sardar's achievements on their cv.

18 months of consistency + European goals + Top scorer+ 10 assists >>>>> 1 average game in first game of season

but this game highlighted his weaknesses as forward ... like his weak technical footwork/unable to beat his marker 2-3 times today on the break, which all coulda resulted in 1v1 with keeper if ...!! he simply shows way too much of the ball off his dribble and seems unable to run with the ball close to his feet or unsettle his immediate marker ...!!
his positioning in and around the box and his combination play and breakaway speed is sublime, hence why he often require a quality striking parter to breakthrough defenses and unable to do so alone on the break..!
not many willing to splash out 30mil on a striker with such limitations, especially teams that prefer a 1 striker formations..!
obviously he has plenty of good suitors but its obvious that most all are hesitant to splurge the large sum$ it takes to acquire him..!!
today's game was a good opportunity for him to lay some of those doubts to bed but he looked tired and a outa sink all game and certainly not like a 30mil rated striker...maybe max 15-20mil .....!
he had to step up against quality opponents in contentious games as such in order to strike a Transfer while his iron was hot and failed to live up to his billing... simple as..!!
he did the same shitt @ WC18, hence why he is still stuck kicking it in Russian league...!!

come on man we know transfers dont work like that. Whoever is interested in sardar has an entire 18 months of excellent evidence. One mediocre game (with classic no service from zenit midfield) in what is no more than a glorified friendly to start season is not a determining or even relevant factor to take into consideration.

disappointing performance overall..!! ran a bunch but not to much effect .... too much kabobing on the holiday or long flight back perhaps..??
he probably had to perform admirably in such a match to keep his name high up in the marketplace ..!!
