Man they should have never terminated Marchisio’s contract if they knew they weren’t going to buy a true attack-minded replacement like Marchisio. They are in dire need of a CM who send killer matches, especially if they will be playing CL Football.

That is correct, but it does not excuse the fact they still need a proper CM. IMO that was more of priority than purchasing a new LB. A shame that Chelsea are transfer banned otherwise Kovacic (who they were previously linked to) would have been a good signing for Zenit and help deliver service to Azmoun.

I honestly think staying with Zenit would be a better opportunity. With Zenit he can actually play in the Champions league, never be on the bench, and stay on top of the RPL than in the lower portion of Serie A.
