Thailand had no physically strong or tall player, that and lack of experience..., definitely the weakest in the tournament

The most idiotic move a football federation can do. Sacking their national team coach after the first defeat in a big tournament.
Well to be fair, they also lost in semi-final at the AFF Cup as well, which they had won in 2014 and 2016, so the writing was on the wall.

If you want to have a Indian passport you have to give up your other citizenships.

    Day 2 Analysis:

Day 2 top headlines might have been overshadowed by the defeat of Aussies in the hands of well defensively-organized Jordan. However, equally as important was the rise of calm and cool India who enjoyed the biggest margin win of the tournament so far. They not only topped their group but also registered S. Chittri as the top scorer at the end of the day. India's chances to go too far in this tournament, may not be all that high, but today's performance was enough to send a message to the rest of their group mates, to not to take them lightly.

The implications of Day 2 events, could potentially see Australia and UAE finishing second in their respective groups, but it may be too early to travel on that assumption and offer full analysis as both teams still have the chance to claim the top spot.

He probably took India very lightly.

Does anyone know why Philippines didn't call up Amin Nazari (former TM player Omid's brother?) for the tournament? He would have been a good bit of muscle for their defensive midfield and played a couple of games for them las year.

I'm not gonna lie, especially after seeing all the shock results last couple of days, I think group C could be very interesting.

Korea won't have Son for the groupstage, China is very inconsistent and prone to shock results and Kyrgyzstan had some great friendly results (beat Jordan and Palestine for example).

It's a shame that Etheridge refused to leave Cardiff to play for Philippines, what a disgrace. Miss out on the nation's first major tournament becuase of a couple of league games. Else, even Philippines would have been quite competitive!
Did you know Philippines midfield could get away with speaking German! They 8 players that speak/are German!
