I'm not gonna lie, especially after seeing all the shock results last couple of days, I think group C could be very interesting.

Korea won't have Son for the groupstage, China is very inconsistent and prone to shock results and Kyrgyzstan had some great friendly results (beat Jordan and Palestine for example).

It's a shame that Etheridge refused to leave Cardiff to play for Philippines, what a disgrace. Miss out on the nation's first major tournament becuase of a couple of league games. Else, even Philippines would have been quite competitive!

The second goal by India today was awesome. The Jordan result shouldn't be too surprising either; they've caused upsets in the past. For example, in the 2011 AC, they beat Saudi Arabia and drew with Japan in the group stage to qualify for the QF. Palestine - Syria has been the worst match so far but at least the game had a proper atmosphere.

Still waiting for one of the powerhouses to produce a 'statement' game. Iran, China, and South Korea are all up tomorrow so it should be an interesting day.

Exactly what CQ is saying. The myopic skeptics (looking at you Ali Karimi Sr and Azizi) love to knock CQ for his thoughtful caution in approaching this tournament, but it's clear that CQ is playing chess while these other amateurs are playing checkers.

I checked this up and there is a very small chance that we will meet Australia in the r16 if we finish first in our group. Out of 15 possibilities only 1 puts us against the third team from group B. That is if no third team from group E or F qualifies.

Australia will be lucky to even make it to the Round of 16.
Right now they are dead last in the group with 0 points and
3 Arab teams above them. And they will make sure the Kangaroos
will remain at the bottom when it's all said and done.
