That's my point he didn't. If Pouraliganji had offers from clubs such as Fiorentina or Club Brugge (whom for a defender of his talent and caliber is a good fit) but instead he chose to play for Al Arabi then you could make the argument that money is the deciding factor. But Eupen is way beneath his talent. Hence it's an insult that the only club interested in his services is a semi-professional club at the level of Mes Kerman, yes Mes e Kerman is capable of beating Eupen any day.

Thus you calling Pouraliganji, Poolaliganji is unfair, Eupen is a club where an 18 year old Iranian talent can go to develop his football, but not an established 26 year old topnotch defender such as Pouraliganji. He did good to leave Eupen, the fact that he went there in the first place shows that he really did want to play in Europe. However he has to think about his future. You can be sure that if clubs such as Fiorentina or Brighton wanted to buy him, he wouldn't have returned to Al Arabi lad.

If playing great as the leading defender for the Iranian national team during the world cup qualifications and the world cup, still doesn't attract good/decent clubs at his level, then playing for a lowly semi-professional club such as Eupen won't either. If Pouraliganji was Korean or Japanese he would've played in the Bundesliga or the Premier League a long time ago. Playing at Eupen will only damage his reputation as a good defender, there is not much he can do for that crappy team lad.

He never had offers from Brighton and Leeds United, those were just rumors started on the internet by Iranian fans. He did have an offer from Trabzonspor and he was very keen to go there, but after he had visited the club it turned out they wanted him as a defensive midfielder. No one would choose Trabzonspor, Brighton and Leeds over Eupen. There is no point for him to play for Eupen, it is a weak team and a dead end for his career. Better make some good money in Qatar.

Our midfield/attacking midfield talent pool has been the driest it has been since the 90s, much as CQ extracted as much as he could from the likes of Amiri and converted Ebrahimi into a box-to-box midfielder.

I still think we overachieved internationally based on quite how dry we have been compared to the likes of Japan (who used to be very immensely jealous of us when we had Mahdavikia, Karimi, Nekounam etc...)

We really need Shekari to get game time to develop. Hope Rubin can at least loan him back to an Iranian team...

Getting loaned back to an Iranian team is the worst thing ever... They'll get comfortable being back "home" and won't want to get out. (Ex: Ali Karimi (SS) and Nourafkan will be next)

there are plenty in RPL
if specially a loan to a team with more attacking set-up and tactics then that'd be a great move..!

otherwise, id rather he sticks it out under papa birdie for another season yet, if he still nailed to bench then look elswhere for more game minutes.

Reza Shekari will be a permanent fixture of our national team soon. He is a talented player. He should have been part of our world cup squad in 2018.

Both him and Gholizadeh are victim of their fragile frames, will be hard to survive in Europe with such a skinny body.
