Why does everyone giving shojaei low score? Did you guys see what happened when he left the field? He was the heart of our game. He just had 2-3 blunders but the rest of the game he controlled our MD area. Watch the game again and focus on shojaei.

Munir: 7 Great save against Azmoun, stayed on his feet not giving him any indication, couldn't do anythng on that own goal
Amrabat: 8 Even though played out of his left winger position he was great and the only one to consistantly create danger
Benatia: 6 Ok game but one mistake who didn't cost us in 1st half
Saiss: 6 Ok game
Hakimi: 4 Tough for him to play on the left side, couldn't cross in first intention and missed some easy passes and controls
El Ahmadi: 6 Ok game
Boussoufa: 4 Unusual missed passes
Belhanda: 5 Ok game, great move onthe ZIyech chance
Ziyech: 5 Almost scored but should have done more
Harit: 2 Too selfish, obvious that he wanted to take the spotlight. Kept the ball way too much
El Kaabi: 3 Not given any expolitable ball
Bouhaddouz: 0 Great header!
S. Amrabat: 2 Stupid foul
Da Costa: 2 Nothing to say, useless substitution

Beiranvand - what a beautiful save. He outplayed the Spanish GK :-)
Rezaeian and Cheshmi, really solid play by these two. Cheshmi stoped a sure goal and really neutralized the Moroccans using his height and physicality.
Ebrahimi - I have never been a fan of his, but wow did he cover up the space between the defenders and the AM.
Hajsafi along with Ebrahimi really did a great job cleaning up and
Amiri - is perfect for CQ's game strategy. He is all over the field, breaking up plays, harassing opposing players, just being a total pest. That's why CQ loves him and gets the minutes. He's like a cross between Teymourian and Maadanchi.
Shojaei - not his best game, but, he is good at slowing down the game. He had too many turnovers which is always a concern with him. I think he got the start today because of his experience. If Dejagah was fit, Shojaei would be on the bench.
Jahanbakhsh - played a great 2 way game. Really helped out on the defensive side. Didn't get much balls distributed to him. Hopefully it's just a muscle cramp and he's back on wednesday.
Ansarifard was average. Nothing spectacular.
Azmoun did not do much, but he was able to distribute some nice passes during the counter attack. Unfortunately we don't have a true play maker, so he has to create for himself.
for the Spain game, CQ will probably bring back MiMohammadi and will insert Ezatollahi into the lineup. Maybe even start Taremi. Very tough to predict his lineupLeave a comment:

what a major fuckup in stadium. They said Montazeri came in for ebrahimi but it wa majid hosseini, knew it looked like him. WHAT A PERFORMANCE. Its time to say as a forum, were all wrong and know little about football. CHESHMI, BEIRANVAND, EBRAHIMI, HAJSAFI AT LEFT BACK, AMIRI IN CENTRAL MIDFIELD, were the best players on the pitch. Sardar, ARJ, Karim all not at their best. But is why we have a TEAM.
Beiranvand-9. Fantastic. Crucial save in each half to keep at 0's. Exits were all on point. WHERE ARE THE HATERS????
Rezaeian-9. Perfect. Aerially, one v ones, positioning, in possession, going forward. So good. Sorry I doubted you ramin
Chesmi - 9. The most crucial blocks and tackles, good on the ball, this guy shut us ALL up.
PAG- 8.5, excellent as well. Just one or two meaningless bezan ziresh moments.
Hajsafi-8.5. I see him in lineup for milad, im literally thinking what the fuck. But its clear why he played. Moroccans press high, and milad is sketchy at times in possession, whereas ehsan dictated play from his LB role, easily bypassed moroccan pressure with accurate passes or getting fouled. He had some bad moments going forward though ( crosses), but delivered winning goal.
Ebrahimi - 9. This guy was fantastic. Defensively a beast, gave 300%, smart simple passing. He really had some amazing tackles, and was totally ready for pace of match. Hope his injury isnt too bad.
Amiri - 8. The guy ran his ass off, I saw him in match live, and now realize why Cq likes him. SO much off the ball work, he is so quick to close space and press, good in the tackle. But truth be told, around the box he is not that effective and ruined a few attacks.
Shojaei - 5. There were good moments were he dictated tempo but they were few and far between. Slow in the tackle, nearly got red carded. Hope dejagah or ghoddos take his place for rest of cup.
ARJ- 6. Tried to make things happen, but was very well marshalled by moroccan defense. Some good combos with sardar.
Karim - 5. Fairly anonymous, some good moments aerially but not confident or clinical in key areas.
Sardar - 5. Limited service, but missed his one chance and kept falling over. I think we may see Gucci up there vs spain.
SUBS :
Ghoddos - 8 changed game with pace and got the freekick that won the match.
Hosseini- 7 Solid, won headers, good in possession.
Taremi- 8. Great performance. Very good in possession in dangerous areas, added dimension going forward. Needs to start vs spain.Leave a comment:
