I enjoy the ugly win. Some people think we are Brazil or Spain.

Morroco - Iran POST MATCH DISCUSSION

This is a debate that has gone on for decades. In every WC or tournament, you have teams that are professional, or "dry" and win tournaments, and you have teams that are entertaining and flamboyant (which the casual fans love) and yet end up watching from the sidelines. There is no such thing as "what a football game is supposed to look like" as you put it. If you play within the frameworks, and don't use the "fists of god" as a way to score, then you deserve a win regardless of how well "analysts" perceive you played. There is a reason analysts are not coaches .... They are paid to talk nonsensical theories while coaches are paid to win.Originally posted by NFL View Postyou can be as happy and thankful to your god about the win as you like, and still think that this was a terrible game in terms of what a football game is supposed to look like. having said that, the same guy in the video who said Iran didn't deserve a win (which I disagree with), also said people won't remember the game. meaning that people will forget the quality of the game over time and only remember the result. and he is right.
The Spaniards have used boring tactics for decades .... heck, the Germans in the 70's and 80's were labeled as playing boring and dry football.“It is easier to fool the people, than to convince them they have been fooled." - Mark Twain

Lol whoever is the idiot who said this was good analysis is well...an idiot.Originally posted by footballeirani View Post
"Morroco would have known Iran was going to play exactly like this"
"Winger was wasting time by kissing the ball before the free kick"
"Ziyach scores so many goals in dutch league we expected better" - meanwile dutch top goal scorer is in the other team without mention.
Honestly wearing a suite and having a British accent doesn't mean you know what you are talking about when it comes to football.

This clueless talking head expert also says here that it was Amrabat that "gave the unnecessary foul" leading to the goal. Amrabat was long substituted well before the foul and the goal for his head injury (hope he's OK).Originally posted by pres80 View PostLol whoever is the idiot who said this was good analysis is well...an idiot.

It’s just amazing how so-called Iranians can criticize this win instead of being happy and celebrating. It’s loke if you don’t study for a test and pass then go tell the professor that you didn’t deserve it. Who gives a shit what the general public thinks about us? We are here to get results and have our people celebrate and be happy. Our team is not the globetrotters, we’re not here to entertain anyone.

Congratulations to all.
What a special feeling, i lost my voice today
Everyone gave their %100, but hell of game by Cheshmi, Ebrahimi, Beiranvand. Amiri and Hajsafi and Rezaeian were very good as well. Was expecting more from Karim, JB, Azmoun and Masoud but overall, we were the better team after the first 25 minutes. Very surprised by Cheshmi performance, one more reason to trust CQ i guess.
On the winning goal, it was a really nice cross by Ehsan, made it very hard for Aziz because both Karim and Taremi were in dangerous position to score.
Go TM Go.

I agree with a lot of this and we'll go as far as to say that today was a coach's victory. Ebrahimi, Amiri, Cheshmi, even Beiro, and the surprise 3-4-3 formation with the mind games about Taremi's absence we're huge for us. It also gives these Persian Gulf based players a major boost going into the Spain and Portugal games. We're leading the group and peaking at just the right time! Thanks the heavens, let's go TM!Originally posted by Iran_19 View PostCongratulations to all.
