the freaking most popular football show spends 70min of its 90 on hashieh and bs side show shenanigans instead of more mature and tactical football enlightening segments as such ..!!

he sure looked like phenomenal young talent in Uzb game, but he didnt look all that and a bag of chips in the prior friendly vs the more veteran African squds..!
i like to see him tried out vs Turkey, see if he can show up vs a quality opponent before trusting to give the kid any game time at WC...!

Its also important to note, its not like the players we left out are at a level where it can be said definitely that they would make a difference on the world stage. Its not like leaving out nainngolan or something. We left out an aging CB, who can definitely be described as a good defender and leader but by no means world class, quick, or good on the ball, and a right back who has been in great form. both play in domestic league as well. Having said that, I think both should be in the squad, as should Kaveh. But after having reflected on the situation its not that incredulous or of huge magnitude.

TM plays first and foremost as a team, individuals rarely stand out. So its about finding the best balance for the team. The only individuals who have the potential to stand out on this team, and really make a game changing difference ALONE, are the front 4 of Azmoun, ARJ, Ghoddos (maybe, depends on how much chemistry he now has with squad), dejagah (if fit), Taremi (On his day)

I remember an interview with Azmoun where he said CQ told him that "he is not ready for this WC".

which was really BS ...!!
the kid could flat out play at highest of all levels of football..!! even back then...!!
that was a dumb move by cq, especially when you put it in perspective of almost a handful of other Kiri Undeserving players that got on the list..!

yea, i havent looked it up, but i dont recall him being part of the traveling squad of WC 14 either..

Let this sink again.. Khanzadeh has been to more World Cups than players like Ali Karimi, Seyed Jalal, Karim Bagheri, and many others.. still can’t believe he has now made 2 World Cups

I guess I like that CQ is again thinking of the future and inviting younger players like 22yo Gholizadeh and 21yo Majid Hosseini over more established players with a view to blooding them and giving them experience to star in the future (otherwise we have no players of that age group apart from Sardar and Ezatollahi).
(Having said that, I still want to know what he said when he spoke to Azmoun in 2014...)

No he hasn’t. Where did you get that from? He wasn’t in the 2014 squad, he was one of the alternates.
