I believe the general lack of interest comes from the contract extension he signed with Östersunds in January. Plus having a criminal as a president doesn’t make it easier to leave

So how a small french club can snatch him while bigger (and richer) teams like Bordeaux, Rennes, Celta vigo were interested?

The reports are saying the club's asking price is around 6 million to complete the move to Ligue 1. Ostersund themselves confirmed that the 5 million offer from Celta Vigo was too low now this happens.. On top of this, Ghoddos has an EU passport which will make a transfer to many teams more capable

I promise you 100% Sema is going to flop at Watford. He wasn’t even Östersunds best player. Don’t be surprised to see Ghoddos playing for Barca FC in a few years and Sema for Bandar Abbas FC. Ghoddos is smart like Jahanbakhsh when it comes to choosing a club.

It is not a bad move as he will join a mid table French team, even though as Z said i highly doubt they pay for such a transfer fee. We all love Saman but people forget his teamate joined Indian league and one is close to sign with Esteghlal. So we are talking about Swedish league.

This is a good opportunity for him to shine. The French league outside of the big 5 is pretty average, so if he can shine amongst the bottom-dwellers, he'll get picked up by a team like Lyon. Essentially, his team might not be good, but neither are most of the teams he's playing against.

Together Ghoddos and his Östersund have shown a nice shape after the summer break.

Now the striker is rewarded and appointed to the month's player in all Swedish.

Saman Ghoddos has for a long time been rumored from Östersund for games abroad. But despite all speculation, the attacker is still in the ÖFK.
