how is CQ, not nominated for coach of the year, he is nominated for world coach of the year, but not afc, he is undefeated agianst a asian team since 2013 in internation competition, how can he not be nominated?what is AFC smoking in KL ?

Because he is Portuguese, AFC with their absurd rules only select candidates who have Asian citizenship or for footballers Asian Citizenship+playing in a team in a league from Asia.

As for excluding Taremi it is obvious why he is not there. He is Iranian. Bahraini,Saudi,Emirati,Jordanian,Chinese run AFC does not like that. Only reasons Aussies and Japanese are there because they had to fill up spots with non-Arabs and obviously had to choose the most friendlier nationalities towards Arabs and Chinese. That's why no Uzbek, Korean as well.
