Don't be too hopeful aziz, there's a high possibility that he won't.Originally posted by 04041374 View PostSince OAR and Al-Ain are out, there is a real chance for Taremi to at least be a contender of becoming Asian player of the year.
Unless AFC pulls off their magic.
Right now he deserves to at least be a nominee. But if we go to the final and he's not even a nominee, it would be more clear indication that AFC is a corrupt Federation. I mean, they already are lol. But it'll be another chapter of their never ending BS.

Team Melli is a different team, with different players, a different head coach, trainers, tactics, and etc.Originally posted by peiman92 View PostWe should have played like this when we were down to 10 men against Korea and Iraq!
That was Iran vs SK in the WCQ'ers, and this was an ACL quarter-final.
We can't compare the two.

Yes but TM is a better team, has better players, a better head coach. But Persepolis still plays much more beautiful. I wouldn't mind Branko becoming our coach after CQ. I think his style suits TM better.Originally posted by teammelli1 View PostTeam Melli is a different team, with different players, a different head coach, trainers, tactics, and etc.

Rasan should start the next match, today and also in first leg match changed in favor of Persepolis when he replaced Mosalman. He needs to start over either of Mosalman or Ahmadzadeh. Also i rather Persepolis start the match with both Mensha and Taremi. Something like this for the next match(with Ansari and Kamal absent):
Beiranvand
Mahini-Shoja-Hosseini-Mosleh
Rasan-Rabihkhah-Ahmadzadeh-Amiri
Mensha-Taremi

IF Persep beat AL Hilal, we they will get the trophy!! I assure you! The Saudi team is our toughest opponent and in the group stage we did not beat them , they play solid football, but if we continue to play like this( and no more stupid fouls or penalty misses) Persep can beat them , get to the finals and and go all the way... It will be an amazing year for all Iranian football fans! first the WC now the Asian Champions league!

I agree and disagree with you. I agree that Team Melli has a better chemistry overall and a better head coach. But we also have to consider many factors. The pressure was on South Korea not on us. We came to win and we were content with the draw. The Koreans were fighting to win. Carlos was also starting a few new names, using the final matches as an opportunity to bring on players who have not experienced those type of sensitive matches.Originally posted by peiman92 View PostYes but TM is a better team, has better players, a better head coach. Persepolis and Al Ahli were both fighting to win. Persepolis couldn't be content with a draw because a 1-1 would see them get eliminated from the tournament.

Branko has always been a great coach at the club level, he's been less successful with national teams but even with Iran he at least got us to the world cup.Originally posted by sarbaz View PostBranko has most defenitly improved as a head coach , since he last coached Iran's TM in 2006
No doubt about it
