U-17 World Cup 2017

Mahdavikia recently talked about the very thing we are seeing now. He basically said that Iran can win against anybody in the world up to the U-17/U-18 level because of our players' raw talent and technique. However, we have no chance beyond the U-17/18 level because Europeans/South Americans mature tactically and have the edge over us. In any case, this is a great start but let's not forget, we have gone past the first round before only to lose in the knockout stages.

That's why these kids have 2 choices:

1) Wait until we start planning and building for the progression of our youth.

2) Follow in the footsteps of a player such as Saeid Ezatolahi. Who just like them has experienced U-17 Asian/World football, and took his chances when Atlético came knocking.

Thats true, but at the same time we do not have the same infrastructure and the developmental system as Italy does. Of course there've been a lot of cases like Pirlo. I'm just saying we need to fix the root problem.

apparently their striker who couldn’t do anything against our defense is linked to Chelsea. Yet our young stars have to hope for teams like Rubin and Rostov at best
