our best bet for getting through this group is to just play CQ football, press n defend with numbers, clog up spaces and hope for an opportunity on the break or a special play by shekari to get a goal .!!
key is our boys having the stamina to see such a tactic through for the full 90..?? considering our typical tokhmy preparations for these games, seems unlikely..!!?

This team needs to be better to survive against Zambia and Portugal, Costa Rica was very weak yet dominated the possession. Wasn't also very impressed with two big guns, Nourafkan and Shekari(except the deflected assist).

looked a bit of a deflected cross..!
but it was a fantastic 1 touch control and put away from mehdikhani ..!
i was concerned with how nervous and hurried boys played the remainder of the game..! you could tell, self belief and confidence was lacking...!! they need to approach the next two games with far more vigor and convictions in order to pull favorable results..!
hopefully this first win ever at this level, ease some of those tensions and gives them that needed confidence boost to see things through..!! we gonna need a big dose of good ol iranian gheyrat n perseverance in the next two games..!

the key to tournements is the coach look at the strenght of his team and try the best tactic he can .Defending and then scoring is nothing wrong if you can play it well.I believe we can qualify, we can beat zambia, if we can match them physically

The right mentality is what matters a lot at this level. You can't be too nervous or over confident or scared. That's what I fear the most about any TM.
