Saman should have scored 2 at least. The African players in Oestersunds line up(they have 5-6) have amazing stamina. One of the reason why the team was in attacking mode for 80 minutes of the match.

Here you go. Can you hook up some positive reps?Originally posted by Abtin View PostNo video of his assist?
Btw, he played a part in the 1st goal too. I think he'll become our most important player for this WC.

I'm really surprised CQ hasn't tried a 5 at the back formation yet. I hope he does. It would suit our tactics and player qualities well.
Imagine:
-----------------GK
--------Hosseini-PAG-Cheshmi--------
Jahanbakhsh--------------Mohammadi
-----------Ezatolahi-Ebrahimi----------
-----------Dejagah-Ghoddos----------
----------------Azmoun---------------
Would be requiring a lot of running and defensive support from Jahanbakhsh and Mohammadi, but I think they could be up for it. Would try Rezaeian as RWB as well. This formation could really utilize our strengths well and make our defense an impenetrable wall.

Jahanbakhsh and Mohammadi would become dead meat!

This is a more direct formation. Passing up the middle. This is a strength for Iran, while crossing is inconsistent for us. This is a formation for counter attacking and protects our wing-back positions by allowing one to fall back while the other overlaps.Originally posted by Sly View PostThen how are we suppose to score?

How did Rostov score against Bayern, Atletico etc.? We're their wingbacks "dead meat"? Those guys were inferior to our options like the human motor Mohammadi, and Rostov was a poor-man's version of TM.
We're not going to beat the big dogs with tiki-taka 4-3-3. Sorry to burst your bubble. We need a smart tactic to frustrate and counter. We've seen most goals against us come from crosses from the wing. This formation would neutralize that.
