Overall I was disappointed, especially in Hajsafi,Dejagah, and Jahanbakhsh. I like to see Mohammadi and Shojaeian get playing time in next match.

Mourinho is a very similar and more extreme case, it basically boils down to fans don't care how much of a twat their own guy is if he can cover it with success. As a result, CQ can go and give the finger to the ref and we'd probably forgive him but for Nekounam to rock up and start pulling that shit in his first game as a staff member is a bit much.

Great result, disappointing performance and even more disappointing behavior from our bench.

I have been a huge fan of Carlos Qeiroz and my posts prove that, but if there was one thing that I don't particularly like about his coaching style is his anger towards the referee. I mean almost every single time that he doesn't like a call he shouts and yells and complains. It's almost like he needs "anger management" lessons.

Nekounam may have the right to celebrate, but taunting is NOT a sign of "heart" or "joy".. it's a sign of someone who is struggling with class.
Afshin Peyrovani is on the same bench, but look at how he behaves. that's what we need more of.

And for those of you who defend Nekounam, just remember that you would be cussing the arabs had Qatar player/coach done the same to our bench.

For some reason it seems like they reserve that number to Karim every time
Ansarifard has no place in TM. I respect his effort to play and stay in Europe. Some goals in Greece shouldn't shadow all his struggle to score against Guam or Qatar, his pathetic participation in the Bosnia clash in WC14 and his long drought in segunda division or sometimes in IPL. He is nowhere near Azmun and Gucci.

On the Gucci goal vs Qatar, he didn't do the assist as it was the Qatari defender that kicked the ball to Gucci.

Sadly no. Becoz they've been doing that for quite a few years. And each time we bring up excuse after excuse.
It has fluctuated. there are times they do less, times they do more. But it hasnt gone away!

Secondly, if you watch the game you'd see plenty of simple passes, and I do mean simple, have been kicked under!

Issue 1- Azadi's grass and overall pitch condition.
Horrible. The grass was cut too long , at least on many areas, which hampered the ball movement. Vor a team that wants to play on the ground, as we shd given our kind of players, the height of the grass shd be low to allow freer movement and flow.
The pitch also was uneven. You could easily see it on TV. I can imagine how the players felt.

This has to be addressed in our home games to prepare as many factors in our favor in home games.

Issue 2- this is to do with the ridiculous amount of lobs and high balls/passes players sent to each other. Simply unacceptable.
Not only controlling these balls by the recipients is harder, it also takes more time which allows the opponents that extra mili-second to get organized.
It was just horrifying how on occasions where a simple ground pass would have done the job, the player kicks UNDER the ball!!!

This cant be excused with lack of coordination or prep or ... . This is something that must be told to players and demanded expressly.
I recognize our midfield was under performing. But that cant be an excuse for this shoddy display.

Play on the ground. That's your strength. Simple.
    Wait, doesn't issue 1 explain issue 2?

The problem is that our players don't know how to do a simple clean pass with is the basic of footbl. Even when one pass arrives to destination it is so khar tu khar, either too strong or the opposite and generally not accurate
