It is great that AZ is doing the work testing Jahanbaksh at CAM for us. We already know he can play on the wing. But now we know that he can play in the middle as well, gives him more space, and can take more long range shots. Since we have good crossers (ex Rezaiean) we may be able to push Jahanbaksh in the middle too. We are weak in that position, and its good that he is an option.

Alireza will most likely not feature for AZ's match this weekend:

""Jahanbakhsh is not fit enough to start, but to fall in. The fact that we are next week to play three games, plays also competed in the decision not to let him appear at kick-off. " ( FOX Sports )"

He is neither starting nor on the bench as he was too late for the lunch today and as punishment the coach left him out.

A very exaggerated response from the coach if you ask me. A warning would be much more in place than immediately banning him. What a shitty response from Van Den Brom. I hope they lose today.

Is this for real? I thought it was because he would rest him after the NT games?

We're talking about the same coach that kept giving him plenty of playing time despite his poor form during big part of last season (when he just came back from his injury).. I don't think he would punish him for this reason, maybe there is something else which we aren't aware of?

The coach said that he is very sorry about it too as JB is a important player for them but it is the rule/agreement that they have.

You come late, no soup for you!

Sounds like the elementary school. He should leave AZ for any top 5 league if the opportunity arises in the summer.

While i agree that he should leave for a better club it's pretty common for clubs to fine their players for stuff likes this.

They are weakening themselves for the sake of principles.
IRI's politics is no different than handling a pressure cooker ..... As the pressure builds up, you slowly let the steam out just a tad bit so that you don't see overflow, and once the pressure from below is less, you put the lid down again and raise the temperature.

Jahanbakhsh isn't good enough to play for a better club tbh

He hasn't reached his prime yet, actually he is far from it. He will be once around 26-27

OK then. Somebody needs to inform JB of this proclamation so he can put an immediate stop to his up-to-now-super-successful-development he's had going from an amature team in Gilan (?) all the way to AZ in Europe....
