We all know that the FIFA ranking doesn't mean diddlysquat! No way TM is currently #1 in Asia, but does not mean she can't be with proper investment!! Also, being #1 in a region doesn't automatically equate to wining all of your matches!! By your logic, since Argentina is currently the number one team according to FIFA ranking, she should be wining all of her matches!! Right??
By the way, News flash: The World Cup Champs lost to Ireland today!!

i dont think so, that wont help them or iran, plus we came back from 1-0 down and drew, we still have home gamesOriginally posted by DireStraits View Postهیچکدام از بازی کن ها خوب نبودن شاید نقشه بود که کیروش را عوض کنند

For a team that is ranked #1 in Asia anything other than a win is not acceptable. Are we going to expect TM isn't capable of winning unless its at Azadi, with good weather, all the starts lined up? Same excuses were said about the tie against Turkmenistan. We have the talent and the firepower, they are not being utilized correctly.Originally posted by ARYA :) View PostAll this criticism about an away draw at Oman, a team who has proven to not be a push over for any team in the region!! I suppose we expect our footballers and team to play more like Barca, beating everyone in our path by a multitude of goals, since we have oh so many home grown world class footballers on our roster!! Yes, shame on us for not beating Oman in their house by 6 goals
I really don’t get this innate Iranian mentality of superiority over anyone and everyone regardless of who they are or the circumstances currently surrounding our football!
The sooner we start making some serious long-term investment in our football, the quicker we will reach our optimum level, and this is not possible in today’s Iranian footballing world, no matter how talented our footballers may be.

Missed two players?? No my friend it missed about 6 players, so what does that have to do with anything. 95% of the goals scored typically go through several scrambling feet before put into the back of the net, does that mean that it was not intentional! No, it does not matter how many players feet it went through, it was a nice cross into the box with the intent to score! Also Hossaini has scored many brilliant goals for TM, so what makes you believe that the cross was not intended for him.Originally posted by khodam View PostLucky in a sense that it missed two Iran players before it got to Hosseini. I am sure he wasn't the intended target. Had the two TM players not missed the pass Hosseini would never be gifted with a loose ball between his legs. I agree HS did well on that play.

Definately not a good Game today. But..........i like the fact how the Team came Back and equalized the Game......i can Remember Games from years ago we would loose 0-2 to these Arabs instead of drawing. A Point on the Road is a Point on the Road at the end of the day and we still on Top.

I didn't like the game at all and if CQ tactics involve players giving the ball up in midfield or even passes like the one ando made in the final third that totally missed taremi and as well as hajisafi missing his guy on the Oman goal then I agree CQ needs to me dropped and hung in Evin..lol but and its a big BUT if the players can't make more then 3 passes without giving up position or don't hassle back on defense then...it's on the lack of quality and form from the players themselves...But we can also blame bad referring and the hot weather like always.
All joking aside I am getting sick of the lets go for a tie or get a last minute goal to steal the game approach we will get burned in the coming months with this approach. We also need nekounam back he is missed in MF.

First of all this was the worst game i've seen under the reign of CQ. But is it only his fault?
In my opinion Teymourian isn't a real Captain, who can calm- or fire up his teammates. Maybe Hosseini would have been better or even Dejagah. But today Dajagah was worse. Actually i like his temper & character, but that was to much. On the other side his sympathetic nervous system must have been on fire today with this humidity & heat. Taremi has some potential, so i would like to see him against Japan. I don't wanna rate every player, cause everyone played bad today.
But what really was getting on my nerves, were the 20 minutes after Iran conceaded the goal. Hey come on guys, why didn't u played like that all 90min? But hey iranians are psychs. Knowing the fact, that Iran didn't won against Oman like 14 years & losing their last game is to much for any iranian player. They have to win their game in Tehran, just to lose some superstitiousness.
For the Japan Game i would like to see Pouraliganji, Kanaani, Rezaein & Beiranvand.
