Son recently signed for Tottenham, quality wise he's not really better than our Azmoun. He couldn't score against us in 270 minutes, but still plays for a top side in England
That could have been Hajsafi, but he's Iranian....

he was a super Nice guy but he was a such a terrible footballer...! lol amazing how he managed such a relatively impressive career having near zilch football talent..!!

To be honest, the guy got opportunities to play in decent Euro teams because he was raised in the Euro system. I truly believe that many Iranian based players were better than him, but our IPL's low reputation in international football hurts these players who are good enough to be successful in Europe. People call me an IPL hater, but all I say is that IPL should attempt to privatize and increase quality, as it's holding our players back. If our league were more professional, our players who stay in the league would mature better, and those who are good enough will be picked up at 13 from Euro leagues and have long fruitful careers in Europe.

Our issue really is IPL. It has little reputation, and honestly, players who stay in the league too long often drop in quality substantially. If people want to disagree and call me crazy for disliking the current IPL, that is fine.

I'm glad he is leaving Iran finally, and to a good league as well.

Bochum would have been a much better option because they have a rich Bundesliga history and they usually reach play-offs. Not so sure about Frankfurt considering their table finishes from past years
Last time they were 13th two times in a row they got 4rd place after that, so we shouldn't make early conclusions :P

One huge plus is that he will never be in danger of relegation which has been the theme recently when IPL players transfer to europe. He will have a stable stage to showcase his talents and get picked up by a bundesliga team ( first div)

It seems to be FSV Frankfurt and not VfL.

"VfL Bochum denies media reports on Hajsafi signing

Berlin, Aug 28, IRNA -- German second division club VfL Bochum on Friday denied Iranian football media reports about an imminent signing of Iranian national team player Ehsan Hajsafi.
VfL Bochum denies media reports on Hajsafi signing
There are no plans to sign Hajsafi and we have repeatedly denied these rumours over the past days, a club spokesman told IRNA.
Our personnel planning for this season is finalized. This is not to rule out that there will be new additions to our squad but it will not be Hajsafi, he added.
On Wednesday, VfL Bochum sports manager Christian Hochstaetter had also called rumours about a Hajsafi transfer baseless.
The 25-year-old FC Sepahan Isfahan midfielder has also been reportedly linked to another German second division club, FSV Frankfurt. "

I know right, it looks like he is on trial or something. I have never heard from passing a medical without announcing the team.
