The IFF already has an embargo on players going to the UAE league after they renamed it Arabian Gulf league. Why not take it further and ban players to going to any Arab related leagues.

Because playing in Qatar's league is not that far a shout from playing Iran's league nowadays, as you can see in the Asian Champions League and the wealthy Arab leagues are literally springboards for our players to get seen by Europe. You see it Ali Daei, Nekounam, Karimi and Shojaei amongst others.

Furthermore all this nationalist emotion is based off literally one incident in one half of one game from a proven Iranian player who saved our asses numerous times, including in the asian cup, and who has European experience. The incident wasn't even that bad, it's one that I've seen happen to top players. A surprise pass makes it between the legs and in the heat of the moment you don't get your legs together.

I have been telling people Gucci is losing it since WC but there are many people who defend him here and in other forums. Gucci ruined his career with his Gulf league moves. End of the story. It is just sad to sad players like Gucci, Dejagah and Pooladi ruins their career for fat contracts and easy training in Arab leagues. We need to replace all players in Arab leagues and I support 100% the decision to ban all players in Arab leagues from playing in NT for like 2 or 3 years. The only way I would be okay with anyone going to Qatar is if they were playing for Lehywiya or Al Saad rather than playing for bottom table teams like Masoud, Pooladi, and Gucci have been doing

If you get playing time, does it even matter? The only time your football gets "destroyed" is through injury or through not being played. Yes better teammates improve players but, again, at this level it's not that big a difference. I'm sure the coaches and facilities are better over there too atm, unfortunately for us.

Dude what are you talking about? Dejagah literally carried our midfield at times in that cup, despite being double and triple teamed every time he got the ball. Gucci saved our asses twice but he's an inferior footballer to the emerging Azmoun - but then everyone barring maybe Jahanbahksh and Dejagah is inferior atm - but that doesn't mean he played crap. Pouladi did not get consistent football after the WC, he was even a free agent for a while.

I don't disagree with that, I disagree that with your saying that in Qatar he doesn't get that. Compared to Europe, sure, but Iran? If Iran's league is 3 stars, Japan's is 3 and a half and Qatar / UAE are 2 and a half.
