this is what you get when you start shojaei. then play heydari for 90mins who wasted 30min of iran's attack on the right by twisting, turning, and losing the ball on the right side like a disabled player.
40 years of oppression leads to this. Get rid of Islam and religious dictatorship altogether, and our country/football will advance.

Great grassrolling by Turkmen's btw. Classic dirty play.

We did suck today though. Very disappointing. Only 1-2 players who even put up average performances today. Sardar scoring early seems to be bad luck for us.

We missed Jahanbakhsh, Dejagah, and Nekounam today. Our team was ineffective outside of the first 15 minutes of the game.
Yeah, and even from those four minutes they wasted three.

Those Asian refs remind me if those WWF and WCW refs, any team playing fair is idiotic.

I love how Heydari is still using the same old twisting and turning on the flank. Is that all he can do?

but we will be all right in the long run..!! i smell a raping on the return match..!

we are in beginning of Generational Change in TM..!! so these sort of occasional haphazard performances are to be expected
First qualifying match is not a test bed for new generation BS. The friendlies are for this purpose. Having khosro in the pitch gives you the notion that CQ is lost. Why does he includes him when he is so shitty. The team has no creativity no alternative plan. We are only good for defending against strong teams and that is all about our team. Against weak team our creativity is gone.

Insisting too much on physically strong players results in killing the play making, creativity, technicality, and so on. Khalat bari or other gifted player could create so many opportunities for us here. We were lost up in front with only Azmoun, in the middle and our defense was shaky. Team needs a complete change in all areas. Our players need to work very hard on controlling the ball and right passing. We lose the ball quiet often.

Queiroz is at fault here with his player choices and tactics. He really needs to reevaluate the team.

                  Just a couple of questions:

Why did we continue to cross for 90 minutes when it had no effect, while the player going for the brutally predictable cross had 3 long range shot takers wide open on the outside of the 18 pretty much every time? Ando took one shot, and that attempt alone had more effect than all of our crosses combined. And can Shojaei please stop making us a 10 man team for 45 minutes and call it a career? O and also we should really replace Hajsafi on LB, he was so inviting to the Turkmenistan team he might as well have served them chaei. Ando could you also maybe aim your crosses? Also if Amiri & Ebrahimi could had touched the ball at least once that would have been great. And lastly Reza, these Arab countries are treating you well please continue to stay there, you have really improved. Thanks boys great game against Turkmenistan! Go ahead, blame the field, or the refereeing.

In the first half it was so obvious that we could walk the ball into the goal with passing but we somehow think crossing is the way to go against a team TALLER than us.

Im sick of Shojaeis weak attitude. He plays like an elder Iranian man at a Sunday league who was good before he gained 100 pounds of weight. Heydari also needs to come to terms with himself at 31 that he is not Dani Alves. His crosses rarely get over the first guy and he cant dribble to save his life.

We need to figure out a LB. Its not Hajsafi. It never will be Hajsafi. We have 18 teams in IPL. 18+ LBs find one and put him there for godsake.

Shooting from 30 yards out on a volley should be an automatic sub out of the game, esp if you rocket it.

Edit: And now we have to wait until September meaning that for 3 months, Guam will be 5 points ahead of us.

what kind of backward mentality is that? I'm not for religion but getting rid of islam and religion isn't gonna turn Iran into a better team. LOL. Oppression? on who? the players? wtf?

                          And also Uzbekistan lost 4-2.

Bi Honar jan if you're going to post results then you should post all the other embarrassing results as well to show that we're not alone. When you pick and choose it comes off as if you have a motive.

for fk sake at least Try a LOW Cross once a while and create some chaos in the box
I think that was our problem today - we were just too predictable by attacking from the right flank for the majority of the match and not mixing it up - coincidentally, our goal and a few good chances came from the left side.

Not sure why that was the original game plan or why CQ didn't make the necessary adjustments. Their goalie was extremely weak in collecting the balls - long range shots and having people tap in the rebound should have been a major aspect of our game today.

But there's a long road ahead and it's not the end of the world. It looks like we always need a wake up call. And sadly, every time we have beaten Uzbekistan by a one goal margin, we've tied our next game.

What the hell is wrong with everyone, it's our first game and it's was an away game. We got a point and that's ok for now.

Obviously the team needs a bit more time to gel and in a few games we will be fine.
