Do you consider Afghans and Tajiks as Persian or not?

All these countries ending in Ostan were once part of Iran and are Iranian land. Tajik Ostan, Gherghiz Ostan, Afghan Ostan, arab Ostan, Pak Ostan etc. They were Ostans of Iran and part of our land. Some even to a larger extent of their current land like arab Ostan probably included Iraq, Syria, Kuwait, Oman, Yemen, UAE, Qatar and all the other small Persian Gulf countries and beyond.

you have to ask the tajiks and the afghans. i knew an afghan who said they were persians and was offended once when he and another asked me if it was so and i said "i dont know". in his mind it was obvious and that is really what matters. i think there is a point to be made here. if we consider "persian" as a foreign term for iranian then i would say that there are many among tajiks and afghans with iranian ethnicity just like many azaris outside iran and kurds outside iran who are of iranian ethnicity and the same could be said about many afghans, tajiks and even caucus peoples i would include many arabs as well who are of iranian ethnicity e.g. many arabs in u.a.e., kuwait and bahrain and iraq are of iranian ethnicity.

Kurds are Iranians. There may be significant Kurdish populations located in Turkey and Iraq, but they are an Iranian ethnic group.

Yes Iranian linguistically speaking but in the modern definitions it really depends on what citizenship you hold and what modern-day country you or your parents were born in. According to those definitions some Kurds can be Turkish, Iranian, Iraqi or even Syrian.

I am just asking out of interest, what made you parents move to Iran? As you have mentioned your parents are Feyli Kurds, I assuming your family once got expelled by Saddam Hussain ? I know Feylis were heavily prosecuted and ethnic cleansed in Iraq, and they got falsely labelled as Iranians because they coincidently happen to be both Shia and non-Arab .

I would consider you Iranian in every way possible since you were born in Iran and bought up speaking the language. I remember we had some other member called Kurdi who happened to be an Iranian Kurd but supported and preferred to be more Iraqi than Iranian without any connection to Iraq other than being a Kurd. Its good you prefer to be Iranian and proud of it, but doesn't mean you shouldn't be proud of your families Iraqi past.

I from Australia as well and was born here but I simply consider myself being an Iranian Australian. Maybe when I have children, they will call themselves simply Australian not Iranian anymore.

I agree, iraqi is not an ethnicity, they have saudi/kuwaiti type arabs in the south, iranian kurds in the north and north east, and syriac/levantine arabs in the north west.

I don't at all consider my parents Iraqis because Kurds are hated by other Iraqis. They are badly treated by Iraqis!

Iranian means being from Iran and Iran stands for land of Aryans. Iran is a beautiful name it is actually the name of my beloved grandmother and a lot of nations can consider themselves to be Iranian. Specially any nation that ends with the word (Stan)

My dad: born in khanaqin, Iraq , but lived in qazvin since 2 years old.

My Mum: born in Baghdad, Iraq, but lived in Tehran since 5 years old.

Unfortunately, both my parents have forgotten how to speak Kurdish since they only spoke to their parents in that language when they were kids.

This question is fundamentally at fault. Tajiks and Afghans are part of the great "Iranian" people whom Persians are also a part of along Kurds, Baluchis, Pashtuns etc...
