I understand they're all vaccinated, however I think that if they do get a positive test (which is very possible despite being vaccinated), they will have to be quarantined and won't be able to compete in games. This is due to them still being able to pass on the virus to others whilst their own body fights it.

To answer your question, he does start for Iraq. He is one of their Centrebacks. This may buy us a slight advantage in the air now as Ali Faez is 6'2.Originally posted by Iranianarsenal11 View PostDoes he start for Iraq? A depleted Iraq squad would do us wonders in qualifying, especially if our NT is fully vaccinated and theirs isn't.
It doesnt matter, whatever 11 Iraqis who show up on June 15th, need to be beaten

Totally agree, this is somehow always the issue in Asian WCQ. In Every group with 4 or 6 Teams basically 3 Teams are fighting for the qualification spots while the other teams are walk-overs. It is comparable to the Spanish league where since the last 10 years Real and Barca (sometimes also Atletico) play for the championship. The problem with this constellation is, that only the games against the top-rivals matter, since the other teams are just their to be beaten (upsets were pretty rare). There is no room for big mistakes, which we unfortunately did by loosing to Bahrain and Iraq.Originally posted by peiman92 View PostThe problem in this 2nd round of qualifiers is that there is just too much difference in quality between 1st/2nd and 3th-5th placed teams in all groups.
I'm hoping for some upsets of course, but it feels like trying to win the lottery lol.
The case is totally different with European WCQ, where any team can pull an upset- it is more balanced- just like the English Premier League.

Well some members here made me happy saying that we won't be playing in that stadium again. I was just clarifying for them that we are scheduled there. I was also hoping for IFF to do something about it and get it changed.Originally posted by diz View PostThanks, but did you expect otherwise? =)
This won't be good, as Iraq will have the advantage over us as they have played all of their games there.

It really don't care where they play, so long as the other team plays on the same field.Originally posted by milad_b View PostApart from fifa website which could be wrong do you have any other sources?

FIFA page has us playing them in Isa Town, but given all your sources, I am guessing that FIFA page is wrong. Under the table for group C, click on "Group Matches" to see all matches and you'll see.
