There was a rumor going around that the owners of the stadium didn't want to inaugurate the stadium so the Rohani admin doesn't get credit.

Wow that is an impressive stadium. Really hope thy will keep their word and do inaugurate for that match.

Play TM friendlies in there for God's sake. Azadi is way too big of a stadium to host such small crowd of few thousands for TM friendlies. Plus I am getting sick and tired of Azadi hosting all TM and big teams of Iran.

Padideh and Siah Jamegan will play there.

Apparently Samen Stadium is going to get a 2nd tier soon (have no idea why it is literally the most useless stadium in Iran).

If Imam Reza, Naghshe Jahn and Foolad all open this season we can see a big boost in attendance.

Sepahan can easily average over 10,000 if they play in Isfahan (I don't blame them for only having 3,000 at Fooladshahr, who wants to travel 40km in a dangerous road), Padideh and Siah Jamegan will see increases of atleast 2,000 or 3,000 as Samen Stadium was 10km outside of Mashhad and literally had no access via public transport, Imam Reza meanwhile is inside Mashhad and accessable. And Foolad, hopefully this new stadium will encourage the fans to come and watch.

I hope this small scale revolution keeps on going, some other teams off the top of my head who MUST renovate/build a new stadium are:

Malavan
Shahin/Iranjavan Bushehr
Sanat Naft Abadan
Khooneh be Khooneh
Naft Masjed Soleyman

All of these teams are popular teams with medium to large fanbases and new infrastructure will not only increase the attendance but will improve the quality of play.

As I mentioned earlier, the rumor doesn't seem to be far off. The people against Rouhani are willing to wait even 5 years to make him look bad.

Its sad, that in Iran even when a stadium is complete we still have to wait!

This news doesn't surprise me one bit. The same will happen with Naqshe Jahan. You wait and see. This is Iran for you
