According to the head of Foolad Mobarake company, the Naghshe Jahan will contain 45.000 seats. The second row of the stadium will remain without seats, but if necessary 30.000 added seats will be installed.

I think if the second row remains without seats, more than 75.000 people can attend. If Azadi Stadium goes through renovation, TM should play their home games in Naghshe Jahan, if it's finished soon. 75.000+ attendance is still good IMO.

He has no clue what he's talking about.
If they want to use the 2nd level for AFC games they must have seats in the 2nd stand.
They did a whole bunch of rework to get the 1st level up to the new standards, and now they don't want to spend on seats? Shameful.

I don't think that every stadium approved by the AFC needs seats. As far as I've seen Cambodia's NT stadium has no seats at all and was packed in every WCQ game.

As for the Azadi Stadium, it needs to be renovated, it looks very critical

Now it is planned to make the Azadi Sports Complex a public place. I don't know if this would help in any case

hmm interesting, I still doubt that it will be ready although the majority of the work has been done....they just need to make the pitch and perhaps a few other touches are needed. if they actually work on it consistently it can be done, but we all know thats not going to happen.

I guess, in the next 3 years we will be in a position to host Asian Cup.

And .. that may be the only way for Iran to reclaim its Asian lost title.

                    Damn that was depressing.
I guess we can say bye to it, because let's be honest, they're either not gonna pay to fix it or they'll take so long it'll require a whole new construction.

Looks like Naghshe Jahan, Foodad's stadium and Imam Reza stadium can't come soon enough.

More about Naghshe Jahan From the Foolad Mobarake CEO

Usually contractors when they take over from a previous contractor like to complain about everything but this time it seems they actually had to do alot of structural rework which can be very expensive.
However he says from May 2015 to date they have spent about 5 million dollars. I'm used to North American construction costs so for one year, this does not seem high to me. However with cheaper labor this makes sense.
He says the structure itself will be built by the end of the season. Grass will be planted shortly before or after Norooz.
Stadium will be ready for beginning of 2016-17 season.

One of the big controctor issues is that they calculate and agree for a certain budet to bulid something. The misstake they make is they dont calculate the development of the inflation during the construction time....after a year they then will be facing that the prices for everthing gone up by 20-30 percent....and stop the Projects.... .....

Why are we using these cheap seats? They look terrible.!!

AQR Stadium really looks good, can't wait till it gets ready so TM can use it for some of their matches. Apparently it will be opened in March 28th, so less than 2 months left
