Mansourian pissed off at IRIB
* If it wasn't for the pressure of Esteghlal and Perspolis fans, IRIB would have not broadcasted any game
* IRIB was not our 12th man
* I guess it was due to financial issues not to broadcast our game. It's better not broadcast any ACL game at all
* IRIB failed the test last night

The highlights of the 2015 ACL for me were Persepolis eliminating al nassr (Taremi's response to that Saudi Fred looking midget al raheb) and Naft eliminating both al shabab in the group stage and al ahli in the knockout stage.

You didn't check well enough. Do your research on the 2010 and 2011 ACL's. Our clubs dominated the league in Asia. We also had a finalist in 2010. That's half a decade ago.Originally posted by TheWheels View PostLol I can read the comments here, don't have to be a member. And last I checked, none of the IPL champions made much better progress either the past decade or so.

if you have noticed, a lot of the penalties in IPL are unnecessary contact, the player may be trapped in the corner, but the defender still fouls when its better off to just let the offensive player have possession. Its a mentality that our players have and there is nothing we can do about it.Originally posted by Ando Teymourian View PostNaft had a chance to start the 2nd half fresh, but the penalty really killed things.
What is worse is that it was a completely unnecessary exit by Beira... why did he have to come out like that? Let's assume for a second that Al Ahli player got the ball on that play. At the angle he was at, it was a very containable play. Such a morale killer.
That is what happens when you want to start a half with guns blazing. Players want to get the ball as fast as possible which leads to sloppy tackling. If Beira just let the ball go, Naft could have regained possession only a few seconds later.
Anyways.... this was a good run by a young Naft team. They are filled with young, unknown players and they got this far, which I don't think any of us really expected when the ACL groups first came out.
Bravo to them and Mansourian for a respectable performance by a youthful team.

I thought I was the only one who heard that, haha.Originally posted by Wahid Dejagah View PostJust got back from the game.
Funniest thing was the Arab dude on the mic saying "Al Ahli Iran chikaresh karde?" And the other side replying with "soorakh soorakh karde".
I had no idea arabs knew some Persian words.

Let's just say the main highlight of the game was us fans, hope you heard us loud on TV.
There was controversy from minute 1 of the game when they raised that flag. But once again Naft didn't capitalise on their chances at all, just like the first leg, causing them to lose. If Naft had played both legs like they did this second half they'd have breezed through.
I'd like to point out the Mansourian is SUCH a class act, went and high fived a little ballkid for not wasting time. Also, Payam played really well and was highly rated by all present, albeit there was the hilarious Payame Tataloo chant going round which was creative.
LOL 90 even interviewed me, on an iPhone, because their camera was confiscated XD

How was the fan support for Naft? A lot of Iranians in the stands?

I believe there was nothing unfair about the elimination of Spepahan, as they used an ineligible player (Ahmadi) against Al-Saad in the first leg.Originally posted by Cataphract View PostYes al-Sadd won the ACL, but it was by cheating. Sepahan was chated out by ACL by al-Sadd who was awarded a 3-0 win. They were a disgrace to fair play in the final (see the video).

Let's be good sports and refrain from being bigoted fans. If anything Sepahan management and our football federation should be blamed for that infamous elimination of Sepahan.
Yes it was an unfair exit, however unfair of our own people in charge, not ACL, nor Al-Saad.
Going by your logic, our attempt and shot at filing a complaint against Iraq's player during AC2015 which BTW failed, should also be considered "cheating"? I don't think so, we thought we had a solid case against them, but apparently as usual our football federation was wrong!

The main difference is that when they make the quarters, the rich Arab clubs always improve their teams, while the incompetent ipl management always loses key players.
Last years naft could have beaten this team, what I saw in these two legs was a totally different team and even coach

I don't know about you, but the sirens weren't really necessary.
I mean we get it, the sirens are meant to annoy Naft players. But it's also annoying to the people in the stadium and people who are watching at home.
