    .
they should pay more attention on proper international referee development. football development be their "PISHKESH" ( for the meaning of PISHKESH please go to http://www.iranicaonline.org/articles/gift-giving-v ).
and why not bring in Germany, Brazil, Argentina and Holland too to asia? hey why not bring all top countries team to asia. that way asian team will be developed and more competitive when they qualify to the WC!

    Iran has done so many:

    1. Afghanistani refugees in Iran have their own teams and play in an annual competition amongst themselves within their Iranian host-province.

    2. Some Afghanisrani refugees moved back to Afghanistan and got picked as Afghanistan national team player such as Tahir Shah in 2003 or current player Amiruddin Sharifi. Some shined abroad such as Moshtag Yaghoubi in Finland U21 and also got picked by Dynamo Moscow or Mustafa Jafari in Australia(http://olympicfc.net.au/2014/08/07/m...tralian-dream/)

    3. Afghanistani clubs come to Iran for training and warm up matches, specially Herat teams play Mashhad teams regulary.

    4. Iran hosted Syria's ACQ home matches in 2013.

    5. Iranian clubs took up many Iraqi footballers from 1999 until present day. 2007 Asia Cup Champions Iraq had 3 players from Iran Pro League.

    6. Iran is very active with regards to Knowledge transfer (referees, futsal coaching, beach football coaching, administration etc) via workshops, conferences in Iran, Tajikistan and Afghanistan.

these are just 6 points I know, I'm sure Iran does more. Australia was the first country who recognised East Timor's independance yet FFA has done nada in that country or other South East Asia.

Iran deserves a seat in the AFC.

i think the best suggestion would be to add even more teams like austrailia, anything to dilute the arabness in afc is good for the development of football in asia. the best thing to do is send all other asian similar countries that are in europe to asia and then increase asia's spots. add teams like turkey, armenia, israel, kazakhstan, azarbijan and new zealand (from Oceania) to asia and increase its spots to 6.5 instead of 4.5.

LOL you did not get my point did you? this was in response (in sarcasm form) to those people who are saying " it is great australia is in asia, that way asia will not lose any spot in the WC" . Micky mouse excuse to have a free ticket to every WC!

and to be honest i prefer to reduce the Asians number rather than seeing arrogant Australia to have free ride!

Its better to play in UEFA (fair competition) and develop even if you lose a few games here and there and fail to qualify for big tournaments. Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan would have a much better chance to qualify for big tournaments in AFC but they choosed UEFA.

AFC = Headache, cheating, just shit

Well, Arabs are butt hurt because the Aussies have caught them on their grass rolling and unsporting behavior and have made some noise about it. So they can bugger off

Secondly, competition is good for us and helps elevate our game. I think they should stay.

Third. I see many people want them out. And I just can't help wonder if majority of those who wanted them out, if asked about joining UEFA, they'd say yes too!!!!
Really people, make your bloody minds up

compare to whom they are a good team? if they were a good team why the only time they qualified to the WC was through asia? ( except 06). why they did not join south america? because they will suck there. so at the expense of one asian team they will qualify and it is 99.9% chance that they will keep qualifying. noone is saying that "if" iran join europe will be free ride for iran (in fact it will be less than 0.01%), but the elimination will not be due to bad/ corrupt/ you name it/ officials.( although in WC 2014 we got a messed up ref as well).
the level of professionalism has not changed since they joined asia. as i said in other post, we are already getting crap ref and we dont need another federation to bring in F. up "referees".

Australia should remain in Asia and their presence will help to raise the level of football in this crappy AFC

    you couldn't make it up.

If you think they get a free ride, it's because they are a good team. Plus, they really don't get a free ride. They qualified for 2014 WC on the last match-day. Just like us, and Korea.

I'm all for your suggestion. Africa also receives too many teams.

The answer is Asia is more competitive and Asia has a stronger case for keeping its World Cup spots.

If you are a leader and a champion you should become role model for others. If Australia behaves properly and does not discriminate against teams that want friendly matches and they are at same or near the same level.
TM is an example and now it is time to ask for a friendly and they they refuse then their reason is politically motivated and therefore the campaign to kick them out should start.
If they shows independence and do not mix politics with sport then keep them
There is not question that Arab teams suffer most due to presence of Australia. For the AFC cup and club championship as long as Australia sends redneck refs TM and mihani teams will have little chance to become champion.

The reason Asia has 4.5 spots is for developing the game in the most populous region of the world and to grow the game its not to give a country like Uzbekistan a free fucking ride.
