my point is that Australia decided to join AFC because they could not qualify to the WC via other rout. but as you said in 2006 miraculously they went through via south america. but the deal was already on the way to join AFC.
my point is , and again i want an answer to this, what did AFC countries gain from australian addition? and i said, australia is one of the 4 top team in asia, no doubt.
is it the professionalism? experience ? just answer it. what did , for example Uzbekistan gained from Australian addition?
Uzbekistan gets to play against better opposition like Australia to improve its football instead of Turkmenistan and others. Australia gets to play Uzbekistan to improve its football instead of playing Fiji and others. Its a mutual benefit on the pitch. Off the pitch Uzbekistan gets to have access to a first world economy through closer ties and Australia gets access to Uzbeki emerging markets due to closer relationships created by football.

What more do you want? Should we build them brand new cities with your tax money? Everyone wins when you are interacting and playing and doing business.

I've said this many times, Asia gets too many teams as it is. If taking up a spot is the objection to Australia's presence than they shouldn't have been admitted to begin with. It's not like they suddenly became much stronger after joining AFC.

The answer is Asia is more competitive and Asia has a stronger case for keeping its World Cup spots.

Perhaps Australia's presence and performance is why Asia has kept its World Cup spots as opposed to losing them.

That's where the arab countries should play if they wanted to improve their football. If Australia could join CONMEBOL the fans would be over the moon getting to see the team play the best in South America. Different mentality here man they aren't all about getting a place in the finals they want to be able improve to win it at some stage.

Some feel threatened by Australia and also don't like arabs. Some will only be happy with a confederation consisting of Iran, Thailand, Myanmar and Bangladesh and would expect 2.5 spots as well

Australia should be kicked out of Asia and the Trophy should land in the Great Barrier Reef at least home to some fishes...

you are saying that they will improve corrupt AFC? well they have been in Asia since 2006, what the hell has changed in AFC? nothing, another AL SHAYKH is AFC president! so i dont see ANY benefit to "normal and poor" countries in Asia with addition of Australia.
now let see what Australia has gained out of this? lets face it Australia is one of the top 4 in Asian no doubt. so basically they have occupied one spot to the WC.
it seams to me it is only one way benefit to Australia. and to be honest i hope it is SK that wins the cup today.
