i think the best suggestion would be to add even more teams like austrailia, anything to dilute the arabness in afc is good for the development of football in asia. the best thing to do is send all other asian similar countries that are in europe to asia and then increase asia's spots. add teams like turkey, armenia, israel, kazakhstan, azarbijan and new zealand (from Oceania) to asia and increase its spots to 6.5 instead of 4.5.

Australia has been a freeloader and planning to bring New Zealand to asia another free loader. However having these two free loaders is good as it makes other teams to try harder. FFA has done zilch/nada in terms of football development in Asia, only within Australia.

      Iran has done so many:

      1. Afghanistani refugees in Iran have their own teams and play in an annual competition amongst themselves within their Iranian host-province.

      2. Some Afghanisrani refugees moved back to Afghanistan and got picked as Afghanistan national team player such as Tahir Shah in 2003 or current player Amiruddin Sharifi. Some shined abroad such as Moshtag Yaghoubi in Finland U21 and also got picked by Dynamo Moscow or Mustafa Jafari in Australia(http://olympicfc.net.au/2014/08/07/m...tralian-dream/)

      3. Afghanistani clubs come to Iran for training and warm up matches, specially Herat teams play Mashhad teams regulary.

      4. Iran hosted Syria's ACQ home matches in 2013.

      5. Iranian clubs took up many Iraqi footballers from 1999 until present day. 2007 Asia Cup Champions Iraq had 3 players from Iran Pro League.

      6. Iran is very active with regards to Knowledge transfer (referees, futsal coaching, beach football coaching, administration etc) via workshops, conferences in Iran, Tajikistan and Afghanistan.

these are just 6 points I know, I'm sure Iran does more. Australia was the first country who recognised East Timor's independance yet FFA has done nada in that country or other South East Asia.

Iran deserves a seat in the AFC.

        .
they should pay more attention on proper international referee development. football development be their "PISHKESH" ( for the meaning of PISHKESH please go to http://www.iranicaonline.org/articles/gift-giving-v ).
and why not bring in Germany, Brazil, Argentina and Holland too to asia? hey why not bring all top countries team to asia. that way asian team will be developed and more competitive when they qualify to the WC!
