I don't post much but read forums constantly. Just wanted to add my 2 cents......

Iran's flopping was embarrassing. We always complain about Arabs flopping (which they do) and when we play the one Arab team that doesn't we start flopping!

There were a lot of mistakes....Pouladi's "foul" on Iraq keeper and not getting up afterwards was stupid. While his punishment was BS he should have known better already having a yellow card.

Pouraliganji's foul in the box was BAD. He didn't even get a piece of the ball at all!

Iran showed real ghayrat by making it 3-3 with 10 but we lost in the shootout fair and square

All this being said the game would have never got to that point without William's BS call! Iran was in complete control before Pouladi being sent off!

Iran losing like this and UAE beating Japan has put me in a depression.......I half expected the sun to not come up this morning!

I love CQ! I think our players played their hearts out! I love and thank them from the bottom of my heart! every single one of them, even pooladi!
But what I'm saying is that the Ref wasn't THATTT bad, yes, he gave a second yellow, but Pooladi didn't need to flop! The PK was a good call, the tackle was completely unnecessary, but it's the heat of the moment, I'm sure he had the best intentions and didn't wanna give away a PK.
Im very proud of our boys, very proud of our coach, and we basically beat Iraq with 10 men! everyone knows that! Look at all the great comments people are leaving about our team!
People are calling it one of the most exciting games ever. I'm happy i watched it! i will never forget this night, staring at my computer screen alone, yelling and waking my neighbors up.

I don't think he's trying to bash CQ here. Italy & Spain were robbed in world cup 2002 which was a lot worse than today's referee, but they fought back and became so strong that no other referee could rob them again and Italy won 2006 and Spain won 2010 world cup.

We slowed the game down because we had a man ejected, genius. And if you honestly think a team without "gheyrat" can come back twice in extra time with ten men, pass me whatever in god's name you're smoking.

as i mentioned, we slowed the game down 15 min. before pooladi even went out. we could've pushed for a 2nd goal but we were being cute thinking we're barcelona and can hold the ball.

our gheyrat kicked in 10 min. at the end in extra time, when it was too late, before it we were too careless and didnt play hard at all.

we deserved the loss because we played without gheyrat MOST of the match...we go up 1-0 and decide to slow the game down and finish it that way for 75 min. left. we didnt kick it into high gear and play with gheyrat til we went down 2-1
truly disappointing how we approached this game
ref mistakes aside, we GAVE this game away to them on a silver platter

Pooladi's first foul was barely a foul let alone a card. And the goalie's action of pushing Pooladi was equally wrong.

Pooladi's over reaction and acting was what earned him the card!! we don't need to be doing that shit!
