The biggest problem with Gucci is that he shoots fairly weak shots from too far out.

There were at least 2, maybe 3 scenes where, if he had gone forward more, then make a quick turn/fake closer to the goal and then shoot would have been a way better choice.

It's frustrating, because he is good in getting a hold of the ball, he just needs to do more with it!

by the way Heidari was slow and will not be good against Aussies. Dejagah and Sardar were the best. We need to practice free shots. We lost two chances of goal in first half.
Having played in Arab leagues definitely showed some deterioration in Gucci and the qataries knew they had to cover Dej with 2-3 people. He should not be forced to run alone when he is facing 3 -4 people. Only causes loss of energy.
My guess is that Sardar had a muscle spasm and that can be so severe for a few minutes due to loss of minerals.

we have a good draw, get the easiest team in the last 8 with iraq/jordan - need to improve before aus/japan/korea play us, because judging from today we are not ready and need to improve big time

Well we managed to get a scrappy 1-0 win over Qatar, with a crappy performance. It was kind of an ugly win but result is what matters in the end, and we are secured a place in the quarterfinals, with one game remaning.
