Tbh though, what kind of preparation are we talking about? It's one thing if you play strong teams and get your weakness exposed so you can work on them, it's another if you never address those weaknesses.

I can go and find a thread from early 2023 saying CAFA when we conceded to Afghanistan, and people were like "man I hope our defense gets better with Manicone joining". Well now it's almost 20 TM games later and our defense is probably worse 🤣.

People celebrating that we 5-0 and 6-0 teams like Tajikistan have a big awakening coming when Shoja, Beiro, Milad, and Kanaani gets matched against any top 30 team

Problem is is hard to schedule friendlies so
a match vs Uzbekistan again would be good.

Russia doesn't want to join - apparently it conflicts with their league/cup and they're not happy with the facilities.

We are grouped in a 3 teams group with Kyrgyzstan and Afghanistan. Not only we got the weakest teams but we have less games compared to the 4 team group

Yeah this tournament is a bad deal for us now. Only the final against either Uzebkistan or Oman can serve as a somewhat decent preparation for the Asian Cup.
