They dont need to invite random countries. Just have 2 groups of 3 teams. top 2 teams from each group can play each other in the round robin. Teams will play minimum of 2 matches and a maximum of 4 matches.

Terrific, perhaps the boost CAFA needs to get moving (and I'm sure some cash goes a long way there...)!

Looks like Central Asia Football Association's 2018 CAFA Championship is either not happening this year or been postponed to later in the year. There is nothing reported in news but since the event was going to be from 8 October until 16 October, and several CAFA members are in midst of securing friendly international matches for during that time then we can assume that it is not happening in October.

Iran vs Bolivia, Date: 16 October 2018, Venue: Azadi Stadium Tehran
Myanmar vs Afghanistan, Date: 16 October 2018, Venue: Yangon
Malaysia vs Kyrgyzstan, Date: 16 October 2018, Venue: Kuala Lumpur

    Yes, two groups of 3.

I assume Uzbekistan and Iran will be placed in two separate groups and other 4 [ie. Tajikistan, Afghanistan, Turkmenistan and Kyrgyzstan] will be randomly allocated.
