Time to bring home some hardware really, a bit disappointed in the roster not including more quality players to test out including from the diaspora, but I don't know enough about the PGPL players to say much. Tajikistan and Afghanistan are both on the decline - not sure they test us at all just another couple of fixtures for Ghalenoei to stad pad

I really hope the African tournament invite is true that would be a real challenge and something fresh and exciting

Every day closer we get to the World Cup, the more paranoid Ghalenoei will be about his position and will refuse to play stronger opposition to avoid getting fired

I heard a rumor that we won't have any legionnaires at this tournament.

Also we won't have a single U-23 player there as they will all be playing for TM Omid at the 2026 AFC U-23 Asian Cup Qualifiers in Abu Dhabi.

Nice competition and more fun to play these teams than time wasting arab teams, although it’s been far too long since we’ve faced Saudi Arabia / Australia out of the Asian teams I’d like to see us play soon. Seems like WCQ or AC we always get the same opponents for some reason.

whatever happened to the WAFF tournament btw? I remember we won it in 2007, CQ was critiqued for not Winning it, then I never saw it again.
