im just glad beita and davari will be in tm now that cq is back in power. hope montezari goes back to the cb spot so beita gets the start at rb

I don't think Carlos Queiroz should be evaluated after the Asian Cup, no pressure. He has already proven his abilities as a coach by qualifying a mediocre Iranian team for the world cup. If anything the Asian Cup should be a platform for Queiroz and his men to build a new team for the world cup in Russia (as South Korea for example Always does). I believe Nekounam, Shojaei, Hosseini, Sadeghi, Heydari should all be retired for the Asian Cup, with the exception of Teymourian and Montazeri. The Asian Cup would be a great experience for these guys and the result should not matter that much, but the new team will slowly be formed as it is all about qualifying for the next world cup and Queiroz is the right man for the job. Give this man the next four years to work in peace, and we will have a better world cup than the previous one, with talents such as Ezzatolahi, Jahanbakhsh and Azmoun ready to be the leading players.

^^IR and IFF are not afraid of the people

Well they kinda are. They want to maintain the people's happiness in order to promote "other things".

The only reason CQ signed was because 80% of Iranian people wanted him! IRI would have NEVER hired a foreign coach to better the team , they were only afraid of the backlash of not renewing CQs contract and thats why they did get him back! These Akhunds are here in Iran to rape pillage and plunder my friends, not advance, improve or build!

CQs return is only an anomoly and Im sure the moment we fail in AC, they will boot him out and Mayeli Kohan will replace him! but for now, lets enjoy this small victory for Iran and large victory for our football!

congrats... happy with Mr. Q.

btw that young kid in the background is wearing kafashian's coat!!!

With CQ staying IFF made the very first steps to consistency. Good job, our next goal should be indeed a medal at the Asian Cup and another qualification to the World Cup.

They should fly him over to Icheon immediately - one more disastrous performance like the 1st and we're out. The tournament may not be that important but the dreams and confidence of this young squad is. It's tough to recover from something like this.
