I used to enjoy posting on PFDC, but now, everytime I post, there are a few assholes who just want to fight me. I swear they do it for entertainment. Camran knew that his posts should stop in regards to my opinions, but he keeps on doing them every couple of months, just to enjoy the drama.

Just to comment on something posted a few pages ago. Bieta's case is different than Zandi,Davari and everyone else. His father is Christian and mother is Muslim. This is not allowed in IR. His father would have had to convert to Islam for it to be permissible in Iran. So you can't really compare him to the other minorities.

Beitashour went to the WC with Iran, which is the most important squad to consider and played in Iran as well before that. If he was judged as good enough afterwards he would've been invited again, regardless of his father's religion.

Also, If there was any problem for him concerning religion he wouldn't have even been considered since the beginning especially to take part in the most prestigious TM list going to Brasil, and we wouldn't have gone through the trouble of "naturalizing" him in the first place, so I'm not sure where we are going with this

He could have pushed really hard before to bring Beita, but some order from Khamenei's office put an end to it. It's entirely possible based on how things go in Iran. Some people lower in government agree to something, then later, it is reversed, because Khamenei wants it so. We've seen this happen with CQ himself, where half the people love him and want him to stay, and half think we can do better. Isn't it possible that there are similar factions with out foreign based players? We're all arguing that Beita is in good form and any rational coach would at least call him up to the 40 man camps before the cut to 23 players. Don't you find it strange that CQ doesn't include Beita in even his top 40 Iranian players? Like I said before, my family friends are Assyrians from Turlock, CA who know Beita's family, and everything I've heard has said he's a great person and easy to get along with. I doubt his exclusion is anything disciplinary.

He was completely excommunicated from the team, and I truly don't believe his performances or his attitude have warranted that. If it was up to myself, considering his form, I would 100% invite Beita for Turkmenistan and Guam, and until Mahini comes back from his conscription issues at least as a backup choice.

But I'm not the coach, what you say could be true but it goes the same way for every possible conspiracy theories out there. I think of Beitashour as a top 5 Iranian RB, and at his best definitely top 3 or 2, so obviously he is a top 40 Iranian player easily, however it could also be that he doesn't fit CQ's current system of RB "roles".

I have seen Beitashour play several times with SJ Earthquakes and few times with the Whitecaps (ofc all his TM matches as well) and I know that he can start for Iran on his good days, but players like Ghafouri, Rezaeian or even Mahini can do as well if not better on their own good days as well, so it's perfectly understandable in my eyes if CQ chooses those guys ahead of Beita based on form. I personally don't think that there are "outside" factors that prevent the best players from being selected, and I sure hope not, the best players of the moment always need to be invited.

Thank you for a level-headed response. This is the type of response I hope to get when I write my long posts on these topics. I see your point as well that conspiracy theories are often dead wrong, but I was basing my argument on the fact that with Ghafouri out of the upcoming matches, Beitashour should be an easy choice for CQ, seeing as how he's played for us in the past, is in good form, etc.

You are right though that it could be that CQ doesn't like his more attacking style of play (although I would argue that Rezaeian plays like a younger Beitashour, both have deadly crosses and are more attack minded), while Ghafouri is CQ's top choice, since he is Heydari 2.0, except better in my opinion than the original Heydari. I think we can agree that Beitashour is a top 5 RB in Iran, and I would say reasonable minds would agree. I think it devolves into conspiracy theories, because of the fact it seems like a universal truth that Beita is one of our top players in that position, but is overlooked even in the large camps CQ sets up.

I guess we won't know until CQ addresses it himself. I would agree that we all know now why Davari isn't invited, but with Beita, it is a mystery. According to his family, even he doesn't know why. He's apparently been in contact with several of the current TM players and wants to return to the team. He was very sad to be left out of the AC roster.

My mind jumps to conspiracies because of the Iranian media who loves purporting conspiracies lol, and the fact that it just doesn't make much sense. Hopefully in one of the upcoming match press conferences, someone will ask CQ about it. It would save us a lot of hassle and speculation.
