Only till he was 14 though. The real important part of his development was in UAE and Al Ain's youth teams (U-16 to U-19) until he broke into the main team.Originally posted by Martin-Reza View PostOmar never played youth football in the UAE. He grew up in Saudi Arabia.
Of course he gained a lot of valuable experience in Al Hilal too. They too have been investing in their youth and academy teams and been quite successful in that area.
But honestly, with his level of talent and tactical intelligence, unless he signs up for a European team, I think we can say with certainty that NO ONE is going to go from the UAE league to Europe any time soon!

Malavan is asking 100k Euros (assuming it's for FIFA's new "development" fee) for Ezi's transfer to Atletio, but his manager says that he has only transferred to the academy team and the fee is not payable unless he signs a contract with their main team.Originally posted by Abtin View PostWhat's it's about, what does it say?
He says that's expected to happen this June and if it does the club will then pay Malavan two installments of 50k Euro each within a month.
The manager also says that he included another provision in the contract in favor of Malavan that when Atletico sells Ezi, that have to pay 5% of the transfer fee to Malavan, regardless of when that transfer happens.
that's pretty much the important stuff in there.

Sorry Abtin jaan, I may have mistranslated that a bit. More accurately, the article says his manager hopes that his academy contract will become a professional contract this June.Originally posted by Abtin View PostWhat?! So he will sign a contract with Atletico main team this June? Like their main A team, or one of their main youth teams?
I guess that doesn't necessarily mean he will be joining their main team (for example, if he joins Atletico B or something, he would still be doing so under a professional contract).
